Keep scrolling for fun ways to spend the entire Thanksgiving break with family and friends, whether their tastes range towards the more traditional \u2013 or they\u2019d rather spend the holiday doing anything but eating turkey and falling asleep on the couch. For\nthe Football Fan<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Don’t miss the big game. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Well, this one is simple. The Dallas Cowboys will be facing\noff against the New York Football Giants<\/a> for the first time in three decades on\nThanksgiving Day, 2022 at AT&T Stadium. Last time these two teams faced each\nother on Turkey Day, the Cowboys wiped the field with the Giants 30 to 3 on\ntheir way to a Super Bowl win. This year, Dallas fans will be hoping against\nhope for something similar \u2013 and at the very least will have the Jonas Brother\nhalf time show to comfort them if it doesn\u2019t go as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For\nthe Runner<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

2022 marks the 55th annual Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot <\/a>and registrations are are still open for the\n8-mile run, 5k, virtual trot, and junior trot (1k). To make the races more\ninclusive, toddlers, strollers, and even leashed dogs are welcome on the courses\nfor an additional fee of $15 each. The Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot is an important\nannual fundraiser for the organization, supporting YMCA community health\nprograms for North Texans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For\nthe Gourmond<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Michelin-starred Carbone opened its Dallas\nlocation in 2022, and is ringing in the Thanksgiving holiday with a $195 per\nplate prix fixe Thanksgiving meal with plenty of pasta (meatballs, rigatoni and\nspicy rigatoni vodka), turkey breast, squash, cranberry, and mashed potatoes as\nwell as pecan pie and lemon cheesecake for dessert. If it isn\u2019t\nfitting the bill for you or yours this year, TJ\u2019s Seafood Market <\/a>is offering both \u201cready to serve\u201d and \u201cheat\nand eat\u201d selections this year including mussels, claims, shrimp, Dover sole and\ncrab cakes, as well as plenty of salad, sides, and desserts to mix and match\nfor a truly delightful and unique T-Day feast. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With more than 4 million plus sparkling lights,\nan ice-skating trail, visits with Santa, and a holiday shopping marketplace \u2013\nalong with its famous lit maze \u2013 Enchant truly does have something to captivate\nall of your guests and start the Christmas season with a truly delightful bang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For\nthe Small Business Supporter<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Throw your support behind the thriving small\nbusiness community in Dallas on Small Business Saturday at the\nDallas Millenial Market at Main Street Garden Park<\/a>. The free event takes place from 11 to 5 on\nNovember 26th and is family-friendly (pets welcome!). For the Soap Opera Fan<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Last but\nnot least on our list of what to do in Dallas on\nThanksgiving is something you can\u2019t actually do on Thansgiving (it\u2019s\nclosed) but you definitely can \u2013 and should \u2013 do on one of the days surrounding\nthe holiday: visit Southfork Ranch<\/a>! Made\nlegend by the hugely popular primetime, 1980s soap opera Dallas<\/em>, Southfork is still billed as \u201cthe world\u2019s most famous\nranch.\u201d Take a tour of the mansion and check out artifacts from the series,\nincluding the famous gun that shot JR Ewing. Afterwards, you can stroll the\nbeautifully maintained grounds or take a trail ride with the wranglers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
