Before we know it, people around the world will be flinging off the germs, dust, and clutter of the winter season and embracing fresh and clean living for spring. This annual ritual<\/a> is a time of optimism about new possibilities, both in our lives and our homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The question many of us have, however, is what does spring cleaning include? Whenever you\u2019re prepping for a major cleaning event<\/a>, you should think through and write down everything you\u2019re going to do \u2013 and everything you need to do it. Your phone will be your best asset for this as you can take notes while you walk from room to room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

List every area that could use a deep cleaning and then take special note of anything you must find or acquire in order to get the task done. Include anything that needs a little TLC to get in top working order again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you are taking notes for areas that you want to tackle during spring cleaning, you should also assess items in your home and consider what you can either pack away in a self-storage unit<\/a>, donate, or throw out. Declutter as much as you can before you get going with your spring cleaning, as it will make the tasks ahead much easier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead, list out when each task will be completed and who, if anyone, you need to hire to get it taken care of. Spring cleaning is a chance to address places and items in your home that aren\u2019t normally touched during daily, weekly, or even monthly cleans.
