This is one of a series of articles spotlighting our storage facilities and neighborhoods.
A north Texas city with a small-town feel, Frisco's population has ballooned over the past 20 years. The City of Frisco is the fastest growing city in the nation according to a study by WalletHub. In 2009, Frisco was ranked seventh in Forbes list of America's 25 Best Places to Move. While rapid growth has ballooned the population and job opportunities, Frisco remains a family-oriented and safe community. Residents are dedicated to keeping the community healthy and preserving its heritage.
Frisco has a long history of being a shopping destination. Originally a retail and shipping point for farmers taking advantage of its proximity to the rail line in the early 1900s, folks still shop at modern day merchants in its historic downtown.
Frisco is considered a suburb of Dallas located 25 minutes north of the city. The neighborhood of Hillcrest Estates is among the more mature neighborhoods in Frisco as some homes in this area were built in the 1990s. Residents think that the maturity and stability of the population are why the neighborhood is so safe.
With so many people relocating to Frisco, you can imagine that self-storage would help a lot of people. Our team in the Hillcrest Estates neighborhood of Frisco says that customers for their store are generally moving or relocating to Frisco.
Conveniently located right off 121 on Warren Parkway. It's right between Hillcrest and Ohio between a church and a preschool. CubeSmart self-storage near Hillcrest Estates is great for people who are moving, but also great for vehicle storage or parking. "I have 2 units for my classic cars. Units are clean and secure and the staff is always helpful," said TedJ1 in an online review of the location.
We offer use of our moving truck for your move-in to help simplify your storage experience. Our General Manager lives onsite for added peace of mind. Kelly M. had this to share on Yelp about her experience with CubeSmart:
"Just put all of my stuff in storage @ the CubeSmart on Warren Pkwy in Frisco. Can’t say enough great things about Sherry & Dixie that run the office. They make you feel like family & made the whole process easy & fun!! I’d give way more than 5 stars if I had the choice. Thanks again Sherry & Dixie! You both help to make Frisco what it is…a great place to live."
Students at Preston Ridge Campus of Collin College take advantage of the location for their storage needs, too:
"This is by far the best storage company and location ever!!! I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a storage facility. Good Customer Service is really hard to find anymore as most people look at it as just a job.. The staff at this location is so helpful and friendly you can expect a smile and welcome when you walk in the door.. They go above and beyond to see that you are satisfied and the place is kept very very clean…Thank you to Sherry and her staff for making me feel comfortable about my decision on choosing them ☺ Great Job to you all 👍👍” said Tammy G. via Google.
One of our team's best packing tips for your storage unit is to “stack it like it’s Tetris.” Lugging your belongings around and moving them into storage can work up quite an appetite, not to mention the brainpower needed for figuring out spatial relationships within a cube while filling every available space.
Things to Do in Frisco, Texas
Spend your Saturday mornings visiting the Frisco Rotary Farmers Market. Open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May through October. Buy fresh and buy local at this weekly market that supplies fruits and vegetables as well as pasture-fed beef, pork, lamb, and fresh eggs. Handcrafted items, artisan wares, and baked goods are also available for purchase to enjoy at home. Check it out in downtown Frisco on Main Street between Third and Fourth Streets.
When you're in Frisco, you have to check out Frisco Square. Perfect for singles, couples, families, and the kiddos, this downtown area is home to a variety of restaurants, specialty shops, and entertainment. Just right across the street, you can enjoy sporting events and concerts at the Toyota Stadium.
The newest and perhaps most cultured event in Frisco is the Frisco Arts Walk. The inaugural event was held in October 2016 with plans to make it an annual event that takes place in different parts of the city every year. It is an immersive arts experience intended to inspire and unite the arts community in and around Frisco. Residents can experience and take part in, not just view or watch, a multitude of art available in the city. Tours, live performances, and conversations with artists are just a few of the highlights of this event. Best of all, it is free and open to the public.
There's tons to choose from when you're looking for places to eat in Frisco. Want something quick? The best place to grab a quick bite to eat to refuel is In-n-Out Burger. We recommend adding a vanilla shake to your order as a reward for a job well done. If you’re more of a pizza person, our Frisco CubeSmart team says that Jet’s Pizza Is the best in the neighborhood offering gluten free options and deep dish that can be delivered.
If you want to sit down and relax a bit, check out Frisco Star Café, a scrumptious spot that serves all your favorite breakfast and lunch dishes. Try the s'mores pancakes for that nice, early-morning sugar rush. For something a little fancier (and Italian), check out Crudo on Lebanon Road for some wood-fired pizza and cocktails.
