This is one of a series of stories we are sharing to show what’s inside CubeSmart. You not only get a peek inside our customer’s storage unit, but also a peek inside what is important to them. Thank you to Brian Kimbrough, a customer of our CubeSmart store in Dallas, for sharing his story with us.
Brian Kimbrough thinks he has one of the best jobs in the Dallas area. “I’ve had so many jobs but being a Lyft driver is by far the best for me!” he says. “I find the best restaurants and things to do all around the Dallas area.”
Brian relocated to Dallas from St. Louis four years ago with his sister, Neko, who is an Uber driver. With Brian working for Lyft and Neko working for Uber in Dallas, Brian says the two of them have never been happier with their jobs.
So, what attracted Brian to move from St. Louis to Dallas? “I came to Dallas for the scenery and food,” said Brian with a laugh. “Dallas has the best food in the country!”
Brian has been sharing a storage unit with Neko at CubeSmart at the 5818 LBJ Fwy location in Dallas for the last week. They found this location on a Google search and were thrilled to see something so close. “We come by CubeSmart often, several times a week,” he said.
Brian and Neko are storing their furniture at CubeSmart while they wait for their apartment to be ready to move in. They are hoping their new home will be available soon because being in home transition is not easy. “We have everything we own in storage right now. We are anxious to move it into our new apartment,” Brian said.
Being a Lyft driver keeps Brian busy in the Dallas area. He gives people rides all around Dallas for close to 8-12 hours a day. Whether it is to the airport, to work, or home from a night out, the people of Dallas are needing a Lyft.
“By far, this is the most relaxing job I’ve had! I get to work the hours I choose, and the more I drive, the more money I can make. Overall, I’m loving my job as a Lyft driver!”
