This is one of a series of stories we are sharing to show what’s inside CubeSmart. You not only get a peek inside our customer’s storage unit, but also a peek inside what is important to them. Thank you to Candice Garcia, a customer of our CubeSmart store in Dallas, for sharing her story with us.
Candice spends most of her days at CubeSmart. “I’m pretty much a regular here,” she says. “I’m here for work every work day, so the staff all know me now!”
Candice, originally from Chicago, moved to Dallas looking for job opportunities. After her father became critically ill, she had to move in with her parents to help her mom take care of him. Candice needed a place to store all of her furniture, and CubeSmart fit the bill. With CubeSmart being so close to her parents’ house, the location is perfect for her.
Candice had to put almost everything she owned into storage. “It’s not easy,” says Candice, “but I’m thankful I had a work-from-home job that allows me to earn an income and be at home to help my parents.”
Today Candice works as an office manager for a restaurant and janitorial supplies company in Dallas. The company does not have a storefront; therefore, the company’s supplies needed a place for storage. She recommended CubeSmart to her employer.
“We ended up having so much stuff that we had to get two cubes. One to store stuff in and one to sort,” said Candice.
Candice spends her time sorting supplies and getting things organized for pickups to be delivered to job sites. The business relies on her to make sure everything is in order. It’s a big responsibility but she is up for the task.
Candice is thankful her CubeSmart location at 5818 LBJ Fwy takes deliveries as her work is always getting in new supplies weekly for her to get ready and set up for further orders. A place to store her furniture, a place to store and organize business supplies, CubeSmart has been an essential part of keeping things in order.
