This is one of a series of stories we are sharing to show what's inside CubeSmart. You not only get a peek inside our customer's storage unit, but also a peek inside what is important to them. Thank you to Laura, a customer of our CubeSmart store in Peachtree Corners, for sharing her story with us.
Laura Poole has been a CubeSmart customer for more than four years. She needed somewhere to store extra stuff she couldn't put in her own home and decided that CubeSmart is the perfect place for her.
"My storage unit contains a lifetime of items that I just don't want to part with or that a family member might need. I have things like washers, dryers, televisions, winter coats, winter clothing to change out with summer clothing, tables, chairs and other things that I can't get into an already packed closet at my house."
Every year she says she adds a little more to the things she has accumulated in life. Sometimes she sells or gives away some things to make room for more or she rotates items around in her house, depending on the season. She hugs her granddaughter (also pictured), laughs and says, "you might need something someday when you get your own place and guess what? You know who is going to have it."
"CubeSmart gives me a place to put things I don't necessarily want to or need to keep at my home and instead lets me keep everything organized here."
Laura comes to pay once a month but stops by at least once a week or more to see the ladies and say hello or to bring a treat. "Or I will beep my horn and wave to everyone. Angela and Alex [members of the CubeSmart team in Peachtree Corners] are nice people and I really like being around nice people."
"Angela is always warm and welcoming. She and Alex immediately smile, invite me in and ask me about myself. I love it and I love the friendly atmosphere they created. You don't get to meet or deal with nice people all of the time so when you find some that are just so genuine, you should appreciate them as much as possible."
We'd love to hear how self storage has positively impacted your life. Share your #HumansofSelfStorage story in the comments.
