This is one of a series of articles spotlighting our storage facilities and neighborhoods.
Less than an hour north of major cities Fort Worth and Dallas, the charming Texan town of Denton, known locally as “Little D.” The town is alive with over 120,000 residents, two universities, and an arts and culture scene worthy of its second nickname, “mini-Austin.” It’s no wonder city-dwellers flock to Denton to escape the concrete jungle for historic town squares, home-style restaurants, and endless acres of green space. With the ranking of No. 1 Best Small Town in America by Rand McNally and USA Today (2012) and both the University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University placing this DFW suburb in the running for the top college town, Denton shows no signs of slowing down.
Denton is brimming with homeowners and renovators, college students, and small business owners that turn to our CubeSmart Self Storage facility in Denton for all of their moving and storage needs. Along with a variety of different sized storage units, we also offer indoor parking to store your classic or racing car in the off-season. We accept deliveries, in case you forget to store an item or two, and our manager lives on premises for any assistance you may need throughout every step of your moving or storing process.

Denton Apartments vs. Storage Cost Analysis
At 5201 Par Drive, less than six miles from our North Interstate 35 CubeSmart, a 1-bedroom apartment rental starts at $943 for 544 sq ft, while a 2-bedroom starts at $1,292 for 811 sq ft. For that one extra bedroom in an apartment in the same building, you’ll pay an additional $349 every month. If you are looking for an extra bedroom as a means of storage and not for a roommate, you could save $269 a month by renting a 10×10 climate-controlled storage unit at CubeSmart. For $80.75 a month (as of 10/30/2018), a 10×10 climate-controlled storage unit fits the contents of a standard 2-bedroom apartment (keep your tetris skills fresh), so you can keep your 1-bedroom Denton apartment, safely and conveniently store seasonal items, clothing, mementos, and more. No need to fork over the extra money each month for more apartment square footage.

Our recent customers having taken notice of our personal service:
“The people here are very friendly and very helpful. We couldn’t decide what size to get and the manager took us out and let us look inside a couple of them. Each step of the contract was explained. No hidden charges!”
“The lady at the office was very friendly and courteous, the process was very easy, the location is great, and I feel like my belongings are in good hands. Also, they let you use your own padlock, unlike Public Storage, so you don’t have to spend a lot of money on a gimmicky lock. Would definitely recommend.”

Denton Activities
Before leaving Denton, it’s practically mandatory that you get a different kind of taste—that is, a taste of the music. The University of North Texas’ prestigious Jazz Studies program, with notable alumni such as Norah Jones and Don Henley, is a testament to the town’s obsession with jazz. If you time your move just right, you may even be able to make it to the Denton Arts and Jazz Festival. Taking place at the end of April, this huge event hosts musicians, actors, singers, dancers, and artists on 6 different stages in Denton’s Quakertown Park.
