Terrible facility. When we signed up a year ago, everything worked even though it was not pretty and a little bit old and worn out looking. You could access the gate using your mobile app; you could get in and get out. Not true now. First thing that went bad was the access by mobile app. It’s been broken for months. Then the north gate would not open so you’d have to drive around and go through the south gate. Then the South gate and the North gate don’t open so you get trapped inside. I just got out of the facility by luck. Another storage unit renter was opening the gate to get in. I warned them of the problem and he let me out. I waited outside for him and then I let him out.

The thing that makes this place great is Christine. She was there the entire time I had my storage unit, and she was always lovely and mellow. I would have moved sooner, because I really didn't have much stuff there, but it was just easier to put off because the customer service was great and I didn't feel like I needed to get out of there. Price increases were the main reason I moved.

Christine is outstanding. I was having a difficult time during my moving process and had to change my dates for my rental agreement. Not only was she patient, she was able to find me a deal that was more along the lines of what I was looking for. She walked me through the entire process, and even made me laugh along the way. Christine & Selena at the Birmingham location in Cardiff are AMAZING!!! These women deserve a raise & promotion immediately!!! ?? They were so welcoming & thoughtful, instantly put me at ease. Moving is stressful, and I’ve never had such a great experience selecting a storage unit. The process was so quick & seamless, it took probably less than 10 minutes to get the exact unit I needed. Christine even offered me her charging cable to charge my iPhone, since the battery was low. She really went above & beyond to make me happy & comfortable. Best experience ever!!! Take good care of these women…they made all the difference for me!!! Good employees are EVERYTHING!!! ??????????

This place is really great, clean, the on-site manager is awesome. the only reason i knocked it down to 4 stars is because when i initially rented this unit last year, right before they changed over to CubeSmart, they had a moving truck that you could borrow. that was EXTREMELY useful since my car is tiny. they got rid of it now. please bring it back!

DO NOT RENT A SPACE FROM THIS STORAGE! My stuff was stolen from my unit and the staff and employees have done absolutely nothing about. They refuse to ever answer their phones so you can't talk to someone in person. They promised me when I first called that I wouldn't be continually charged until they figured out what happened and their reviewed tapes. Now they have already billed me for two months and have given now answer on anything at all. They are a complete scam! I am not the only person who has had their stuff stolen from here which leads me to believe this place is corrupt from the inside!

I don't typically post online reviews but my wonderful experience with this Christine warrants this as a very special situation. Upon moving to Encinitas I was met with transitional challenges brought on by unwelcoming customer service experiences. I had a household of items needing immediate storage and visited with a number of facilities that offered little benefits, obscured clarity in pricing, and poor customer service, until I met Christine. Her authentic personality was a welcomed blessing that reframed my experience and provided an abundance of comfort and security in my storage experience. She alone made the difference and is the reason I entrusted her facility and on-site operational care with my personal belongings. She took dedicated time to show me a number of available units while confidently answering my worst case scenario hypotheticals and providing me with resourceful solutions. I rented the space for over two years and with each visit during that time I felt ever assured and confident in her stewardship of my belongings. Christine is a rock star and a difference maker in what can be a taxing experience for those involved with moving and storage. She deserves all the accolades and recognition for the facility's operational success and security. I cannot thank her enough and I strongly urge anyone considering a storage facility in the area to stop by and visit with her!

Terrible experience. Stuff was stolen on Numerous dates. They used a pry bar to get into unit and unscrew the security latch. There are no cameras inside the hallways. Cube smart didn’t care at all about my claim. This place isn’t worth the money or your valuables.

Fairly standard storage facility. What makes this place special is the people who manage it; in particular Christine. She’s amazing. Christine is the sort of person who makes a business a pleasure to patronize, truly. She’s kind, helpful, patient and very competent. If it weren’t for her we might not have actually rented a unit here. It’s also nice that they include the use of a moving van with certain rentals. Thanks for all your help Christine and crew.

Move in was easy and straightforward. My things were stored here for over a year and never had a pest issue, water issue, or any other type of damage to my things or my unit. Accessing my things was always easy, and the price was very reasonable compared to other options in the area. Moving out was as easy as the easy checkout method at a hotel. Christine is a wonderful person and you can feel her genuine desire to fulfill the needs of her customers. If I ever needed it again I would store my things here for sure.

I have rented many storage units over the years but I have to say Christine and her team provide the best customer service and flexibility that I have ever dealt with. The price point at that location is super competitive for that location! The facility is kept clean, the dumpster is available for trash and the billing is consistent and fair. If you're in the market for a storage unit I highly recommend this location.

This storage facility has never caused me any grief! Not even once!! The only semantics issue we had, was I asked if there was an elevator. They answered that there was a lift. People cannot ride the lift. I am disabled. My unit is on the second floor. Oh, and I lost my key, and they aren't charging me to cut the old lock off! Very nice!!

I stored things here for a number of months and was very happy doing so. Christine the manager is super gracious, was always accommodating, and the rest of the staff there couldn't have been nicer. The move in process is easy especially because they have a moving truck that is free to rent for small/medium trips. They're located right next to the freeway so it's pretty convenient if you're in and out of your unit frequently.
