I moved from the Cal Oaks location to the Monroe location after dealing with a prior store manager named Gina, who treated me poorly every time I had to visit the office to pay my bill. I would dread going into the office. I decided to reach out to Patricia, store manager of the Monroe location, who took the time to listen to my concerns, presenting options with a move. Then she followed up a few days later and answered additional questions about the process. Other than physically having to move everything else was plug and play. Patricia provided excellent Customer Service, something that seems to be a thing of the past. I'm grateful for the help, and glad I made the move.

The general manager was very kind and was extremely helpful. I'm currently dealing with a big move from Wisconsin to settle here in California and was struggling to find a unit to store my belongings in. I recently signed up for a unit at your annex location in Murrieta, and the experience has been extremely frustrating. When I attempted to access my unit, none of the provided codes worked. I had to call five times, and each time I was given different codes, none of which resolved the issue. This level of poor customer service is unacceptable. To make matters worse, I have yet to receive a call back from the on-site manager, despite repeated attempts to escalate the issue. Due to this experience, I will be canceling my account and moving my belongings elsewhere. I strongly urge you to address these operational and communication issues to avoid inconveniencing future customers.

Prices continue to go up annually, sometimes twice in one year. When I first started it was less than $200 and now it’s over $400 for the same unit. There is no one on site to assist you, so now you must go to the Cal Oaks location down the street, and hope that they are available to assist. They are only staffed with one person to cover both locations.

Needed a unit FAST. Was able to get my unit and purchase it all online that same day. Needing to come in person to at least do the signing? Nope. Did that online too. I couldn't make it until after the office was closed and started to worry that I had to at least talk to someone before getting my unit. Again, nope! The email they sent had everything I needed to do it on my own. They had my gate code and map of the location and my unit number. Found it, broke the little tie and in my unit was my little bag containing my new lock and all my information, help resources, etc. I felt so relieved and very welcomed as a new customer! Plus they actually stay open until 10pm! Very satisfied so far! Oh, and also got my first month of rent free... Who can't love that?! ??

All of my valuable possessions were stolen out of my unit. Not only that but they never even told me the unit was broken into. Oh unless you consider one single phone call with a message saying “we have info about your unit” as an appropriate response to my unit being broken into. So I paid for months for a unit that was already broken into, they never offered to pay back that time. Only reason I found out it was broken into because when it was broken into a 2ND time, this time did they decided to send a detailed text message. There was literally holes in my unit door. There’s a spot behind the facility where people have been walking so much and sneaking to get in there’s a trail. The courteous thing to do would to have paid the time back but they were whatever about it. Didn’t seem to really care that much. Just argued that they told me. If you told me why would I continue to pay for a compromised unit? Whatever. 0/5.

my husband and i had a storage unit here for 8 months and it got broken into twice. the first time it got broken into, 3 months into having the unit, we were contacted immediately and my husband had to drive 2 hours home from work to find all of our stuff strewn about the walkway inside. it was a devastating loss for me personally, as i lost all of my instruments (guitars, ukuleles, most of which were gifts from family). we were told it must have happened overnight because they had done a walkthrough the night before. but only people who have the code can get into the building. they only have security cameras outside and they are very far away from the doors but i feel like they should have had enough to go on based on the people who have the code to the door and who was last there on camera to know who it was, but they allegedly couldn’t figure it out and didn’t report anything to the police even though the groundskeeper literally lives on the property and the gate is closed after hours and the fence wasnt cut open. so thats suspicious. anyway, we filed the report with the police as well as the insurance through the storage unit, our estimated loss was about $3000 and we only received $1505 back from the insurance the storage unit has. then, they increased our rent price! instead of giving us a discount for continuing to rent with them even though they were clearly not safe. the second time our storage unit was broken into, we didn’t even receive a phone call. the manager, gina, changed our lock without telling us and never called, they said they did but we checked our call history and they absolutely did not contact us. this time around, our storage unit was trashed. whoever crawled inside destroyed our boxes, cut holes in them, stepped on all of our stuff, and broke many of our things (including sentimental wedding anniversary gifts from my mom). we lost $6200 worth of our stuff (including stuff that was damaged this time not just stolen, like our china cabinet and leather sectional) and only received $1347 back from their insurance. we immediately moved the few things we had left into my in laws garage. we only found out about the second break in because we were moving and had gone to get our stuff and the lock was changed and we couldn’t get into our unit. i know they know who stole and damaged our belongings and they won’t say anything, and they definitely won’t pay us fairly. save yourself some grief and get a storage unit somewhere else, pay close attention to the locations of security cameras and look into getting your own battery powered security camera for your unit.

The worst storage facility ever. They had a water leak in my unit from the rains. Did nothing other than told me to call insurance. Never offered me a new unit, nothing. In fact they said we will fix the leak, but never did. Went back by after the next rain storm and lo and behold my unit was flooded again. I have mold and my belongings are trashed. When I spoke with the branch manager she was rude and condescending. She offered zero help not even a refund of any kind. I left a message for the district manager and got no return call. I suppose I’ll have to file a lawsuit to gain compensation for their breach of contract, my damaged belongings, and all the stress they have caused myself and family. Stay far far away

Stay away. Your rent will increase sky high, way above new incoming rates. Terrible customer service if you can even get some. Unfriendly staff. Just save yourself the grief. Go to Temecula Self Storage for great service and WAY lower rent. We went from $478 down to $220 for the same size unit 10x30!!

You should avoid this place. Bait and switch all the way. We rented a unit that was close to a doorway to the interior units for convenience, When we signed up our rate was locked in. A month into renting, the doors accessing the interior units were all locked. I had to call for a door code to get into the building far away from my unit, and was forced to walk through long pitch-black hallways. When I was able to open the door near my unit, they disabled any way to keep it open for loading. They also increased my bill without warning. When I called to address this, a lady claiming to be the general manager at my location responded by saying "Maybe you should move". So I did. This was in Murrieta California, Monroe Ave.

Management was not at the Murrieta site on Monroe at all on Thursday 12/22/2022, I couldn’t get the lock I paid for and had to use a combination lock of my own. The inside unit was hard to get to I had to call a number to get the Combination for the door and waited on hold for 15 minutes before I could get the my unit!

Save yourself plenty of trouble and rent a unit elsewhere. Zero issues when the storage was Storage West but since Cube Smart taking over my unit had been broken into multiple times, hours have changed, office closed, onsite personnel removed, still waiting for the district manager to contact me from months ago, the list goes on and on. Some of the doors now have code locks though! but not all of them.... and the one that was near my unit didn't even have a lock on it anymore... AVOID CUBESMART if you are smart.

We rented two different units on short notice and the manager Ann was on top of it both times. The units and grounds were clean and well maintained. They had carts and dollies available to help move your items into your units. Being able to use the truck to move in was one of the main reasons we went with the company. It was super useful.

Great rates and a fantastic staff. Had a few storage facilities in my life and until you had a bad one you don't really think about how nice it is to have a good one. This is one of the great ones, the grounds are kept neat and orderly as well as very secured. There is an on-site person at all times so you don't ever have to worry about your items and the storage areas themselves are very nice. Very well lit with each unit having its own lighting. If you've ever had to go down a long dark Corridor trying to carry a giant dresser into an even darker room you'll understand how nice of a feature this is. Additionally the staff here is awesome, extremely helpful polite and very aware of the customers needs. Free set of moving boxes and roll of tape and pending what you end up selecting I'm not sure how it works but we even got to use a moving truck that they keep on site to move our Goods into the storage unit saving us hundreds of dollars. Absolutely fantastic.

The onsite manager is very cool. But the price is stupidly expensive. They get you in at a good price but every year they raise the price 25$ and for someone like me that puts me at almost 100$ more a month then when I first moved in. Not worth it. Cheaper places else where. Would be 5 stars but they have literally forced me out with price raises. And will do the same to you in time. Its a shame they would rather have new people move in all the time then to keep loyal customers.....4 months later and im still paying 100$ less per month for the exact same size garage at a different place a few miles away. Again you guys are FAR too expensive.
