Would not recommend this location don’t feel it had proper security. The unit itself was quite dirty. I felt it was very unhealthy and unsafe and would definitely not enter it or touch anything.

I like the location. I went into the office to get my locker information. There is a video kiosk which I used to talk to a human. I was informed to review the email for the cube number and instructions. I found the cube but had trouble opening the door. Thankfully, there was a man at his cube who assisted with the lock latch. My first impression is 5 stars but I’m deducting one (should be a half star) for uncertainty of physical onsite assistance.

Both of their facilities in Newington are unsecure even though they have 24 hour access. There is no fencing around the units or access gate so anyone can drive in. There are cameras, but that makes no difference. There have been at least eight break-ins in the last month, where customers stuff has been stolen according to the police department. There was a breaking two days ago to a customers unit. I do not recommend using The storage facility and if you do you are doing it at your risk being broken into. The staff are unfriendly and have threatened people. I also have reason to believe that some of them may be involved in the break-ins or are using people to facilitate the break-ins.

I missed one month's payment and they put a lock on my unit..understandable that's how business works..i went to the office and paid my bill in person on 3/27/2021 and told them to take the lock off so i can access my unit that night and when i went there at night the lock was still there and i couldn't reach my stuff despite making a payment in the afternoon...today on 3/29/2021 i went to get something from my unit and they still haven't taken the lock off so i probably need go to the office again tomorrow despite making a payment already and request them to take the lock off so i can access my unit...They really need to stop hiring people off the streets who can't remmeber simple stuff.

PSA. IT WAS A WASTE OF MY TIME !!! Ive called litterlty before going to this location and Ive been told a certain time yet when I get there 1 or 2hrs prior to closing time ..it was closed... Lights were OFF NO NOTE NO NOTHING.. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!! WHEN IT COMES TO OFFICE HOURS.. MADE ME GO TWO SEPRATE TIMES .. THEN THEY CALL YOU TO SEE IF YOUR INTRESTED ..UMMM I THINK NOOOOOTT ...JUST BAD.. NOW EXTRA SPACE STORAGE IN HARTFORD NOW THAT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE..

The guy who assisted us in opening up our new storage unit was highly professional, courteous and helpful. We are thrilled to have so much space in our new unit and the price in our opinion is very reasonable. The customer service made my wife and I feel comfort knowing that we opened a storage unit with the right place.

We were there about 4 years finishing up in 2024. I decided to change units after the huge increases in storage rent. I found 2 side by side units in Hartford for half what I was paying for just the one. Same size. I get there are I increases because of taxes etc but maybe taking long term customers into consideration would help people out. My request at the start of my lease was for the light switch and bulb to be fixed and that was pretty much ignored. It wasn't the end of the world. I'm resourceful and I find ways to get light when I need it. The only other complaint was the lack of snow cleaning after storms. Road was cleared but the snow piled in front of my unit the times it snowed and I needed to get in were annoying. The place is big and when you need a unit in a pinch, car storage or the short term, this place is good. Not so much on the long term.

Charges your credit card after you move out and give notice u r moving out. Bad business pratice. And they closed my account online but still charged for another months rent.

Chris Foster was very personable, and patient in getting us squared away with our storage unit. Reasonably priced. When the process got long and I needed to get my son to a nap, He offered to bring the key to my house after he finished his shift on the way home. Thank you Chris!

Christopher was very professional in executing this rental transaction. He gave me the appropriate guidance to select the best size storage unit for my needs. He also gave good advice about storage locks. He swept the storage unit out for me. He was courteous during the entire transaction. He had a no-pressure sales approach. I would advise anyone looking for a storage facility in the central CT area to consider this particular facility in Newington. Actually, there are two storage facility locations that Christopher manages, and both facilities are within a half mile from each other just a little ways off both the northbound and southbound sides of the Berlin Turnpike.
