Due to storm Benjamin, they were inaccessible which, forced me to choose a storage company that was accessible and ready for me to move into the unit. The price is also cheaper for the same size.

I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of basic maintenance and communication. While the monthly rent keeps increasing regularly, there is little to no care shown for customer access or safety. It has been two full days since the snowstorm ended, and the facility has still not been cleared. The entrance was completely inaccessible, making it impossible to enter the unit. As a result, I lost an entire day, including scheduled labor and a truck rental, which cost real money and time. Price increases are one thing, but basic snow removal is not optional—it’s a fundamental responsibility. Customers should not be paying higher rates while being unable to access their own belongings. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both maintenance standards and accountability.

Was a convenient place for storage at first but the prices just keep going up and up and up with no explanation, started at 160 and ended at 303 a month, asked to talk to someone about it and the kid said yes that’s a high price for what you have and someone would call me, that never happened so I’m out , not to mention usually the gate is open and anyone can drive in. Wouldn’t recommend unless you like the price to keep going up and gates open

I'm hoping this review can go up. But as of right now I'm not to thrilled with this company. I reserved a unit and after multiple forms of communication either email, text, or call just to confirm the reservation, and multiple emails reminding me that the down payment date is approaching, I go the the center St location and it is closed at 12:15 ish... Sign says open but nobody inside. No posting about being on lunch or anything else. So I call and appearantly it goes to a call center cause I was told that they have 1 associate covering 4 locations. Well if that's the case why don't they post a sign or put it on the website, not have office hours if nobody is there. This was a complete waste of my time. Not to mention now I have to make a 2nd trip to this place just to pay down payment because I don't want to do auto pay. If this is an example of how this company operates I'm not sure I want to do business with these guys. I'll go back one more time and if the same thing happens I'll just go somewhere else because not only are they falsely stating office hours they give an attitude at the call center. I'm sorry but if I'm paying for a service, I EXPECT top tier customer service.

Very easy to do everything on line. Instructions were clear and everything worked as expected. The facility map showing exactly where the unit is was also easy. I had a signed contract with access to a unit in less than an hour. I love the convenience!

Moved in September or October of 2023. PAID for a year in advance. Date of move in was on the 25th. Moved out September 24, 2024. Called the office several times. Never any answer. They called me two days later asking if I moved out. Called back again no answer. Left a voice message. The young lady that called me back was Alexandra. She must have been new because she wasnt well informed. I told her I moved out on 09/24. She said ok that she will put it in the system. Asked her to tell me what will be refunded she said she had to talk to her manager and call me back. Calls me back and tells me its $98. I told her that the numbers dont seem right to have her manager call me. Manager calls me today and the conversation lasted 1 minute. She called and immediately jumped into "My employee told me you had a problem with the amount that is being refunded to you. That amount is correct. You didnt notify anyone that you moved out." and continued. I tried to ask a question and she continued to talk over me. I then got loud and asked her to let me ask my question to then she replied "oh no you dont. you arent going to talk to me like that. Go ahead. Go and ask your question" Now Jennifer, as a manager to a multi-million company, you should know better. And from the looks of it you dont. As a person that has worked in customer service for over 30 years, its not what you say its how you say it. And your tone and attitude is not the way. I am writing this review but I will contact your superior because your objective should be to help the customer understand where they went wrong not be so defensive that you make matters worst. I am now paying for a month (Sept 25-Oct 24) on a storage that I am not using and they will most likely rent out to someone else. Cube Smart will make double the money on that unit and I am out $100.

I've been here since DECEMBER 2023. ITS NOW MAY 2024. FIRST...when I moved in it was supposed to be free first month and 25% off for 6 months. When i moved in they charged 105.00 plus 32.00 start up. No discount given. All in all Sierra does good customer service. She was accommodating and showed me the unit. This place is alot better than Otter. Otter is a nightmare. If you choose this lication..deal with Sierra. Sierra ..she was very nice and she said there was nothing she coukd do. I reserved it online with some guy. Shoukd have given that price. I even did a screenshot of the special. When I moved in they charged a 32.00 start up..wanted 30.00 for a lock plus insurance. You don't have to pay for all this. I use my homeowners insurance and provided my own lock. They charge 30.00 for a lock that you can buy better quality for 10.00 for a similar lock at Walmart. I walked in my unit..there's no lights in the units. Just hallways. Buy a magnetic light to leave on the wall. They did not clean my unit. They said they are cleaned and leave trident bags in each corner. The bags were old. I use peppermint in jars in all 4 corners...keeps mice and rodents out. Security No security. Ive talked to them. They keep saying they will fix it. You get in by using your code to open the gate. Guess what? The gate is open all the time. The elevator is like 50 yrs old... barely moves. And no code to open it. The stairs to go up...the door has no code and you just open the door. I went in one night. There was homeless people hanging out toward end of building. A creepy guy came into building while I was alone. Ladies...not safe to be here alone day or nite. When office is open its the best time because they do have cameras. I keep pepper spray on me just in case. Other than that I'm happy. They raised my cost in May. So it's been 6 months. Originally 95.00. Now it's 137.00. So we will see how rates are. If they follow CT STATE LAW OF NO MORE THAN 20% PER YEAR I HAVE NO COMPLAINT. BUT THEY WENT UP 37%. THEY ARE BETTER THAN OTTER THOUGH. JUST PISSED ABOUT BAIT AND SWITCH IN BEGINNING WITH PRICES.

Cubsmart, center st. in Manchester, was conveniently located, good self serve house. It was not exceptionally clean, but good enough.. I did not like the move out policy. I paid on the 20th of each month, for the upcoming month. I moved out on the 31, it would have been nice to get a refund of the 20 days prepaid. You know they will rerent it and make double rent on it thru the 20th. Paid for 20 days that I didn't even use it, bad policy. Note to management-consumers don't like paying for things they don't get, move outs should be prorated.

Floors throughout the facility are dirty and have not been cleaned in years. Lights take months/years to be replaced when they go out. The way that the HVAC system is set up for “climate controlled” units enables anyone that is tall enough or has a selfie stick to stick their phone up above your unit’s door and window shop to see what’s inside. This facility had lack of communication with customers when there was OVER 2 MONTHS when the entrance/exit gates were wide open and NO notification was sent to customers informing us of the issue. When I went into the office a month into that starting, the employee at the front was immediately rude and said there was a work order coming the next week, only to then have to wait another month+ for it to actually be addressed. “Climate controlled” is an overstatement, as my thermometer read in the low 40’s during the winter and low 90’s in the summer. Perimeter fencing is falling apart and easy to enter the property through, including the facility, given that all of the doors to the building are unlocked 24/7. All of that on top of outrageous rate increases. I couldn’t continue to justify paying so much for so little in return.

My partner and I got screwed over by our landlord and had to move out QUICK. We contacted Cubesmart like an hour before they closed and Rachel P. answered the phone. She said she was covering this location for the day, but when we got there she knew EXACTLY where she was going. She was SO INCREDIBLY HELPFUL. She made the process so stress free (in a stressful time in our life) and fun. Easily one of the nicest employees I’ve ever interacted with. So so so so thankful for all of her help!!!!

What made my experience so good was how the crew and manager all took pride in their jobs and made sure it was done professionally, thoroughly and on time with a smile on their face. No matter if they were open or closed, somebody was there to help and execute the problem on the spot or via phone. Never once have I felt uncomfortable or like I was being mistreated by Cube Smart of Manchester CT. Manager Christopher and his Lovely Crew deserve recognition for their great Costumer Service Skills. If I ever need them again, Cube Smart will be my first choice.

The store manager was AWESOME and super helpful. If I could do 10 stars I would. I was really stressing as I was notified I needed to move in 2 hours and the U place had outrageous prices for storage units that were extremely small . This cube Smart was actually closer to me and super resonable the manager even talked with me while I was at the store getting a lock for the unit. Highly recommend if you need storage.

They gave me an access code that did not work (apparently the manager made a mistake - never apologized afterwards). It took us over 1.5 hours just to get through their phone support in order to get a temporary access code - and this was all happening while we were standing at the gate, waiting to unload our truck. Their lift was broken, and they had me go around the other side of the building (great inconvenience). Manager (who set up our account) never gave directions on how to open the side door to the stairs (I found out the hard way, and had to come back another day). Based on my experience so far, I am considering writing a complaint to their corporate office.

The process of securing a storage unit with Chris was easy, and very well handled. Chris was knowledgeable kind and curious. The unit is clean and easily accessible. The latch is rusted, and a little tricky to get open and closed, but will most likely work itself out with more use. The drive up access is great, 7 steps from trunk to back of unit, could not be easier! Overall, a pleasant experience.
