Have used storage units in the general area for 15+ years. This is the best, cleanest, most accommodating of all. They are user friendly and every other customer I encountered feels same as I do... No, I am not part of this company in any way . a safe bet!

Not happy with them. We came in on a 1/2 price deal for 4 months, then our rate adjusted in month 5 as expected. Then got a notice that our rate was going up again one month later. In 6 months, my rate from start almost tripled. Just think about that. It seems these companies pull you in with low rates, then just start taking more and more for the same square box you paid a decent rate for to begin with. It's really a shame and I asked for my rate not to go up and they said there was nothing I can do except move out. So I will. Not sure anywhere else would be better, but at this site these units are showing their age, compared to other facilities. You should simply look elsewhere to begin with.

Very easy process to rent a storage unit. The lady who helped me (Katie?), was friendly and very helpful. Excellent monthly storage price. Inside storage are cages are easily accessed and in a climate controlled room. I highly recommend Storage Sense.

Clean storage rooms really no problem except we had a small problem with your office not putting my insurance on my room. We sent it several times there until I had to come down there with a copy. Then they took some money off even though we had insurance for years on our things. Other then that very friendly, easy going getting in and out and good staff.

This place has some wonderful staff! Stored a car here for several months. They helped pick the perfect unit for the tow truck to be able to get it in and out. Despite the two recent hurricanes we just had in Port Charlotte & Punta Gorda, the staff was very pleasant, patient and understanding. There still was no power when we went to get a storage unit. But the woman was able to get us a storage unit, whiling working on her phone. Under these circumstances, she handled everything smoothly and got us a unit during these desperate times. I would highly recommend Storage Sense.

I debated about posting this because when this first opened under HomeStar storage. I recommended many people there. However, I was facing cancer going through chemo and not being able to work. I got behind on my bills and the new owner storage sense would not work with me at all with any fees , late charges, as a matter of fact, I think they enjoyed the fact that they had control over my situation. I talked to the manager. I talked to the district manager and none of them was willing to work with me. They kept citing policy. So I was able to pay off all of the fees and I highly do not recommend this storage facility. Also, I found out it's owned by the bank so they have no reason to work with anybody even while being sick. There is a hundred other storage facilities in Port Charlotte, Florida. Choose another one no matter what the specials are of the month

I was already very impressed with the on-line specials. They were the reason we chose this storage facility. I have rented many storage units in my life and I have never felt as welcome as I did the first time I walked in the door here. Heather immediately greeted my husband and I, got us all the necessary papers, explained all of the fees and rules, how to access the units, and was just as friendly and kind as she could be the whole time. We were taken care of quickly and efficiently and I would tell you to go here if for no other reason than that's the best customer service I've had around Port Charlotte in a very long time and my husband and I both were quite impressed!

And the only reason I might not be likely to recommend you guys is simply because of the facility itself, and what the needs of the person I would recommend your facility to may need. That's it not because of any bad reasons. You could use the update your dollies though, but I appreciate the fact you have them in the first place, and that you have several of them. Been a customer of this location for 9 years. When Storage Sense took over, they solved the biggest issues I've had. That being paying the account over the phone! The old system from previous owners was SLOW, like very slow. This new system is incredibly quick. The service has been a cut above the rest as well. Very helpful staff here. When I had my "stuff" at Storage Sense, I had a good experience. Easy access, friendly employees.I called a month ago to find out if there were any requirements to terminate my contract and move my stuff out of storage and I was told there are exactly no requirements - then I get a notice after I move out, that I needed to give them 14 days written notice. The good news is... they did not bill me for not complying with this requirement. When I did move out on a Sunday, there was only one dolly that was broken and there were two sets of people needing that dolly at the time, so moving out was a giant hassle. The cost of my unit went up 62% in 3.5 years, which I think is a bit much, but everything is getting more expensive.

Problem with moving cart at facility. It was missing a Wheel on 1 side in the middle. Hurt my back trying to steer cart! No lights for 1 hour where my unit was inside. Had to use my flashlight! While moving my boxes out. Very dark, felt unsafe. It WAS 630am but later in the day its 95° outside!! Lights came on about 730am.

Samantha was a huge help. I didn’t want to get a storage unit initially— I was in a bad mood about having to get one. Her great attitude made it painless and I left in a better mood. I had a fluke issue with another tenant accidentally mistaking my unit for their own. She kept me updated and was honest about the whole situation, and replaced my lock for free. Stopped into storage sense at Port Charlotte location, and was in desperate need of a small space. Samantha and Heather were extremely accommodating and finding that location for me close to the door, and shuffled a few things around to make sure I got what I needed. Samantha is a GREAT MANAGER. She is very patient and calm. Takes time to explain all the little details. Also when my gate code not working after hours she stayed on the phone with me until I could get in. She also made my second unit closer to my main unit. Very clean storage place as well.

The only facility I’ve ever used that keeps ice cold FREE water for their guests moving in or out of units! The customer service working with Heather and Cara was exceptional. Great 1st face to face renting my units. Everything I asked was answered and or was shown to me for reassurance of privacy and safety. Very polite and knowledgeable about what I needed and did not. Was not hesitant to show me different units and the differences in size. All in all I walked out knowing I was not being ripped off or paying to much and also helped me with what I needed for renting a truck to help the move go smoother...I would recommend this storage facility to everyone

Me and my crew hadn't had Anything to eat from the early packing and moving. Heather had a fruit salad and kindly offered us some as well as bottled water. Being new to the storage world I could not have been more pleased. From the initial phone call to the helpful lady Lourdes. There was no push to have us purchase a larger space than we needed. Everything was clean and air conditioned. How fortunate we are to have this facility in Charlotte County.

Initially, I didn't find this facility, and there is one closer to me, but American Value had better prices and a special . I was skeptical, but the facility is so clean and Lourdes and Anthony were so nice and helpful, I was very glad to have found them. This storage facility is very well run! I can't say enough about the management and the staff, they are truly fantastic - friendly and knowledgable about what your needs might be! The climate control space is kept at a very cool temperature as well as low humidity; I've had a climate control space before but it was not really "climate controlled". The property is clean and well maintained, in a good location as well as reasonable monthly costs. I highly recommend this storage facility over the many that are in the area, I've used a few of them over the years and this by far is THE BEST!

Horrible management! Propery Manager is extremely hard to deal with! Would not recommend this storage facility to anyone. We have rented a unit there for 9 years. New management came in and is terrible!
