Both elevators have expired inspections since August. 2024. The elevator near my locker is often broken or not operating so I need to use the other elevator and walk things a long distance to my locker. This happens about every other time I go over there. There are also 0 carts so then its another 5 trips back and forth. There needs to be more carts around. They just raised the rent. Not sure it's actually going to maintaining anything. Last year we had to also call CubeSmart several times before a long line light bulbs were replaced.

Renter beware. This storage unit has a leaking roof. I have personally experienced two incidents in one year in which one, then a second assigned unit flooded. Many customers impacted with the current incident. Think very carefully about your insurance and deductible decisions if you do rent. The law is not always aligned with ensuring companies do the right thing and this is one such area.

Well, I started when 1st opened around 3ish years ago. I was located near the front entrance near office. The front door was often broken, not opening and having to use another entrance very far from my actual storage. Staff most of the time friendly, on the phone you don't talk to the staff on site, most of the time NOT helpful. Prices start decent and immediately escalates. Also, if you pay your month, no reimbursement allegedly if leave earlier and would like credit back. Other entrances, do not feel as promisingly safe as the front entrance facing Scott & Sons Framing store.

I rented space from this location for about 6 weeks. The space is climate controlled and secure as stated online. I found it easy enough to get into the space with my access codes etc. However, the experience was greatly affected by the site not being open on time in the morning on 2 of the 4 occasions I wanted access. Both times I needed a cart so the office being open was important. Some Cube Smart team members were professional and helpful. One in particular was the opposite. If professionalism and timeliness are key to your experience, perhaps try another location or another company.

I received call eight months after renting my storage unit saying that my locker was not secured. I was told they do quarterly storage audits yet they never informed me that my storage was not "secure". I spoke with Shannon the manager and I must say that I have never been spoken to in such a rude, nasty manner. I don't understand why people choose to be negative and mean in life. Once I'm done with renting my storage unit I will NEVER rent with this company again.

I booked online two days ago. I received a message with a code for a combination lock but apparently no one has changed the lock out so that I can get into the space. Sunday the front office was closed and I have been back to the location twice on Monday and there is no one on site to assist. Not sure what is going on at the location???? There must not be a manager for this location ?????? So far not a good experience!!!!

Please beware my unit was broken into! Not sure how and I believe it was an inside job because my access log was deleted on April 3 and how would they know to target my unit? I had two pairs of men shoes in there brand new and they didn’t take those however they took every feminine article out of here and left a couple clothes! Every pair of shoe! I very handbag! Every perfume! My valuable jewelry! My birth certificate! Valuable items are gone. Please beware and do not rent here! They stole my whole life out of there.

Kaii is so sweet I have no complaints she is very helpful. But I moved in my unit on Friday March 1st and some pregnant lady with a CubeSmart shirt on ignored me when I was asking her a question. Two guys with bolt cutters tried to break in someone’s unit. I was trying to tell the pregnant lady but she kept ignoring me. I do not recommend this storage facility.

There are several issues I have experienced with the CubeSmart on Marietta Blvd in Atlanta: 1. Both elevators were broken for weeks over the summer and you had to hump it up and down the stairs. 2. The location has had several break-ins to the units. 3. There is no surveillance inside the facility to detect theft or malfeasance. 4. Customer support is never available to handle issues. I was directed to email the regional manager, whom I did not hear from regarding the issue. 5. The price of the unit will go up on you if you have been there for a while. Not sure if that is normal, but it will happen to you here. Do yourself a favor. Stay away, chose another facility.

Renting at this CubeSmart is one of the worst decisions of my life. Please read the bad reviews as there’s no way this place has 4.5 stars as every renter I’ve spoken to has a story like mine. Several years ago, I made an online reservation for a unit but had to stop by 3 times during business hours before someone was in the office. I got access to my unit and moved in a few days later. While moving items in, I talked to several young guys helping a young woman move out of her unit. After I left, they broke into my unit by climbing on top & peeling back the wire fencing used as “ceilings”, and stole everything of value. That evening I was online and just happened to see items for sale that looked like mine. I raced back to my unit to find it broken into. I showed the seller’s profile pic to the 2 employees in the office and they verified she was an ex-employee who had just been fired. That’s when we figured out she was moving her items out at the same time I was moving my items in. Later, those employees weren’t so sure if it was her when the police asked for a statement. I called APD to file a report. The officer told me they respond to a lot of theft calls at this facility. Both customers who stopped by the office during this time had stories like mine. They said customers, employees & police all knew the ex-employee was breaking into the units but the owners let it go on a long time before firing her. The APD detective who followed up took my report seriously because the dollar amount was growing plus he could close a LOT of open theft cases if he could finally get enough evidence to arrest this woman. The last I heard, he was never able to arrest her. At the time I started renting, CubeSmart’s website and the manager made it sound like they had cameras throughout the facility. I later learned the devices the manager pointed to weren’t cameras, just motion detectors to trigger lights. The current employees are very nice but they’re in a bad situation. After all these years, the owner has done nothing. They haven’t installed security cameras, they haven’t fixed the access doors which won’t close all the way, they haven’t blocked outside access to the elevators and they never even bother to clean up the garbage in the parking lot. Plus they stopped providing carts since they're always stolen. Since anything I had of value was stolen, I continued to rent there for years, having just closed my unit. I regret giving them my money each month. I should have walked away after the break-in. To the owner who replies to reviews, stop playing dumb and just fix this place. There’s nothing in my review you haven’t heard for years!

Lack of available staff every time I came to terminate services on one unit. On the second unit staff lacked knowledge and executive staff lack progressive thinking. I was out of state and hired someone to move my things. I was sent the wrong document to have notarized..which was brought to my attention after I completed all the steps. The second document was not accepted by the notary. I suggested a curtesy identification at a CubeSmart near me which was declined by Executive Staff. Unacceptable!!!! I will never use CubeSmart again and I will advise anyone that ask or mention using CubeSmart to think again!!!

This facility is beyond frustrating. Never anyone around and office is always closed. Trash everywhere - literally a landfill accumulated behind the building and the front dumpster is sitting halfway in the driveway because there’s so much trash built up. The elevators are *always* broken. We’ve been stuck in an elevator or locked in stairwells on multiple occasions. Had nearly 30 boxes we had to leave in the management office overnight until they finally got around to getting 1 of the elevators fixed…that was a lot of fun moving things twice. We had 3 price increases over the course of 14 months despite being long time customers. Oh, and I just got another notice of a price increase! It ain’t hard to run self storage, and it’s a very profitable industry. But this facility is seriously lacking (to put it nicely) and there are at least 5 others within a mile or two. The new manager (as of a few weeks ago) is very nice and responsive and the only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1.

Such a hassle handling anything account related because store managers are short staffed this year. I have had very little luck getting the help I need during business hours because it’s not often that anyone is working during the posted office hours. That means that I can’t get help over the phone or in person. Corporate customer service numbers have apologized numerous times because “office managers are the only ones who can help” with my concerns or inquiries.

That’s how I know he did not come because the same lock was still on there today when we went, so I ate one of the managers that they need to put my money back on my card she qsaid she will see poor customer service, one cube smart storage was open that’s the one Ashley worked at today. The rest of them was closed. Poor customer service. The one on Whitehall Street is good Ashley you need to be a manager. The rest of them need to be fired. Poor customer service. The restroom was filthy. no tissue no paper towel no soap trashcan full. We have been running around all day long. We had to keep the U-Haul truck another day because of the storage was not open that’s not my fault there is y’all fault that I had to keep the U-Haul truck another day my furniture was still on the truck that’s not right Ashley had to leave the other store to come where I will to let me in that’s not right that she don’t have a key to the store get it together Marietta Street

The facility and the process of signing up and moving in were easy without any complaints. However, there is a significant problem with the availability of staff on-site as no one is ever there when needed. Despite the staff taking the payment without any issue, they don't answer the phone or provide the correct gate codes to the customers. This means that customers have to rely on other renters to let them in, which is a significant security risk. In my case, I hired movers to clear out my unit, but due to the unavailability of staff and incorrect gate codes, I was unable to access the building consistently, which resulted in me keeping the unit open and paying rent unnecessarily. The company's claim of having the "Best customer service" on the automated phone lines is not reliable. Included in one of the photos shows the time of day as 11:37AM on Friday, February 24th - with a sign stating they'll "return" at 9:30... Really? So I guess that means they took the day off. The other photos display the back entrance propped open. Huge security risk.

This the worst storage facility ever. They allow people to live in the storage units with dogs. Then even allowed someone else to used my empty unit without my permission and threatened to charge me until they could allow the trespasser to move her items and take her lock off. The manager Quincy makes you feel like he's one of your friends watching your stuff (one of the good friends). He was attentive, professional, and when I lost the keys to my unit I very much appreciated the actions taken to get it resolved quickly. I am blanking on her name but the woman working in the office answers ALL your questions, answers the phone (a lot of places do not these days). Overall great and professional experience, I see why CubeSmart is top rated in customer service. One note/negative, it is supposed to be "climate controlled" but every time I was in there it was hot as hell; that may not be great for some items being stored.

My vehicle was broken into while at this location on 6-9-2020 time frame 5:40-5:53 PM. Vehicle was parked in the loading area near the elevators where camera is located. The office was open and I immediately reported the incident to the staff member on duty. Staff member on duty indicated that she does not usually work at this facility. I was informed that a manager would come onsite to take pictures and that a police report would be necessary to obtain video footage. Police were called to the scene immediately. However the staff was reluctant to speak to the officer. Staff member indicated that the manager told her that she did not have to speak with the police or provide any information. In addition to that no one from the management team arrived on scene to take photos. The staff member on duty left the facility without providing any information to the police. This was a terrible experience and I plan to vacate my storage unit immediately due to how the incident was handled by the CubeSmart staff. Update 6/10/2020 4:00 PM EST No one from this CubeSmart location has initiated contacted regarding this incident. As a customer this experience showed me that CubeSmart staff at this location does not care about the safety of customers or level of service provided. A follow-up email has been sent to help@cubesmart.com.

Do Not use this facility to store anything. This past weekend somebody that works here opened my unit with a key, stole all my inventory and then locked it back up. Per my company we have to keep a key with the front office. Little did I know they are thieves and stole all my stuff. I learned from the police this occurs often at this facility. Only three people worked since I put it in my unit yet they cannot figure out who did it. Wanted to see cameras but they said no budget for cameras, very convenient. I pay $150 per month and no cameras, STUPID!!!

Very good customer service signing up and moving into the facility and cleanliness. The three star review is for a notice I received 6 months later of a 30 dollar increase in rent from 137 to 164. Checked my lease agreement does not say anything about a locked in rate, basically says cubesmart can up their price whenever they want and you have to grin and bear it. Called the office said not much they can do and the unit is typically 240/month which I had to laugh out loud at. Most storage places I have been once you sign that is the rate you are locked into. Just a buyer beware review for anyone looking to come here thinking once they sign that's their rate. I understand its not the local peoples fault and this is how corporate operates just frustrating is all.

Gordie Holt signed me up for a 5x5 about 45 days ago. It was perfect for my initial onjective; however, a week ago circumstances changed and I needed to upgrade to a 10x15. Gordie was great, very professional yet personable. My initial experience was great. When I called in to upgrade not so much. A different person made my reservation and when I came in to pay & move my things I realized that I was unable to obtain the “discounted” rate that was online because I was already a customer. While the difference was necessarily significant it was more the principle of it. Had I realized that in advance I just would have went to a different storage company. But the units are clean. The property is clean. All is well otherwise so far.

Good company but got lost in the facility. Had to be rescued. CubeSmart needs more staff. One to stay at the desk; one to cover the grounds and accompany new customers. Sore point: the monthly insurance is a price gouge and buying additional is outrageous. Not everyone HAS Renters Insurance to cover stored items. Why not offer a one time fee commensurate with the value of your goods? Insurance companies are the devil imho!

Initially I wasn't thrilled because the online move in system SmartRental did not honor the website's own move in price and there were no employees on site on a Saturday. However, the store manager Kai has been incredibly helpful and kind and a couple days later the district manager called me to fix the price and give me a credit. It was very much appreciated.

Typically, so many different problems arise when one has to delegate what goes where, etc. However, Cube Smart excels on many levels. 1.) The staff is so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They were super sweet ladies that answered any and all questions I threw at them because I was brand new to renting storage space. 2.) Hi-Tech security cameras and lots of them. 3.) It is virtually impossible for a person without a locker at the facility would be able to get in the facility without talking to the top notch customer service ladies 4.)Which leads me to safety of my belongings. When shopping for units, one should generally scope the surrounding area and pick accordingly to your needs. This particular CubeSmart establishment is very current with many different theft prevention methods. They have a plethora of monitors which records and displays any movement in the entire premises. To sum it up, you will no longer worry about whatever articles you store CubeSmart Self Storage, located at 1820 Marietta Blvd. NW, Atlanta, GA 30318. ADDITION in November 2020: I just rented another unit from this same Cube Smart. Quincy Wills was a tremendous help. He walked me through all the steps I needed to know. Again, I highly recommend using this CubeSmart.

I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with my service I received from Ruby and her staff at this location. The facility was clean, Ruby communicated clearly and went above and beyond to make my first ever storage move in experience as easy as possible. This review would have been 5 stars, however, the 10 PM elevator shut off time was difficult as I moved in the evening (I didn't finish moving by cut off time and paid truck and movers for a second day). I would definitely work with CubeSmart again.

I've had a unit here for quite a while now and everything about the experience has been great. I often leave town for over 6 months at a time and whenever I re-enter my unit it is always dust and bug free. The staff not only do a great job maintaining the facility but they are extremely communicative and helpful as well. I receive consistently over-the-top customer service from Ruby Jones who works at the main desk. She is always very polite and accommodating and she addresses any questions or concerns that I may have in a timely manner. I highly recommend choosing this CubeSmart location for your storage needs. It's clean, well-staffed, well-located, and competitively-priced.

BEWARE....I rented with this location a few years ago so I felt safe coming back to store my things while giving myself time to find another place. Upon move out, I even referred my roommate to use to this location. Her things were only there for 2weeks, if that, and her flat screen TVs were stolen. I felt so bad referring her to this location. My things were there for 2 months and upon getting my things for move out, noticed my gaming system had been stolen. I’m know for sure, it’s was packaged back up and hidden because I know people steal electronics so I know whoever took it had to had gone through my things. My perfumes and shoes were all over the place and only the box remained that once held my PlayStation. I was informed security and access to the u it’s was tight so my best guess is someone working there is stealing or allowing someone to come in and steal because we both have/had the locks instructed by the office despite me having my own lock. I used my own lock previously and nothing was taken. I called and was informed the district manager would call within 48hours. Wrong. Even the office staff could care less when I told her my things were stolen, I was given a “oh, Call your insurance, thank you.” No remorse or trying to solve how and why it happened on more than 1 occasion! I actually liked this location and my experience until now. Pissed! On top of the threatening notes to dispose of your trash and no trash cans available to use.

WARNING!!!! DONOT EVER BOOK FROM THIS FACILITY. YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! These people sold my stuff out of my storage unit. I moved out of state and was making payments on my unit. I fell behind by a month and they took my lock off and put their lock on. I paid up my storage unit the week before I was arrive to get everything out of storage. They took my payment over the phone (Lonnie) and told me my lock was still on my unit. When I got there that Saturday my lock was not on my unit. Asked the Manager Ruby to open my unit so I could retrieve my things and when she opened it...an entire apartment full of furniture and well over 20 boxes were gone! What was left had been slashed and trashed! Jessica, the DM was no better! She told me on the phone they didn't think I was coming back for my belongings. So did that give them the right to allow my stuff to just walk?!!! I paid for the insurance and they are not even covering the theft because they claim there was no forced entry. It was obviously an inside job! They watch people on the cameras bring their stuff in to see what kind of belongings they have and then ransack these units. If this isn't the case then where is the video footage? Why are they not cooperating and why is the corporate office doing nothing about this? At this point will have to hire an attorney to sue. These people should be put out of business! And they deserve NO stars!

STAY FAR AWAY!! Very unorganized and unresponsive. I stored my things here for 6 months, with no issues. Upon checkout, there was a misunderstanding by both parties, and I was charged an extra month's rent. I tried calling and calling to see what the issue was and how it could be fixed, left voicemails, with no returned call. So I had to go back to the front desk to speak in person (30 mins away). I spoke to the person working the front desk, and after going back and forth about the situation, told me she would speak to her regional manager about getting the fee refunded. Never got a call back!!! Tried to call again, again no answer. I drove back down there again, and this time the worker at the front desk told me she could guarantee 50% of my fee to be refunded, and would have to speak to her regional manager to see if she could get any more refunded. Never heard back from her. I am still trying to chase down that refund.

Horrible company. Other than the day I moved my stuff in I have NEVER seen management or staff in the office. The doors are locked, no lights on, and no sign in the window. The one time there was someone there she had her child with her. And it's ironic the office is locked since the security and access control system has never worked. Anyone can gain access to the facility 24/7. And customer service is unable to help. Regional/District management fails to return calls. This place is a liability lawsuit waiting to happen. Save your money, save your mental sanity, save yourself. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

STAFF: Though Ashley, the manager, was always professional, I felt that there was a warmth that was missing from the office staff. Sometimes it seemed that my coming into the office to ask a question or address a concern was an inconvenience to them. Nevertheless, for the most part, issues/concerns were always resolved. THE FACILITY: The staff did a fantastic job of keeping the place clean. The unit doors were always bright and shiny, and the bathrooms always clean. Parking is not so great and neither is access to the building. There are only two entrances and one of them only has two parking spaces. So, if many people are moving in or out and using a car or small box truck, it's going to be cramped. Unless you park in front of the building a walk a block or so back and forth. There is, however, and second entrance to this four story building. In the back, there is a spacious dock, but this is really for MUCH larger trucks. PRICE/VALUE: Before renting here, I had a space elsewhere. The staff there were amazing, and their facility was just as clean as CubeSmart. The rent, however, would increase every 3-6 months, which was unacceptable. The rent was cheaper at this CubeSmart location and increases were FAR less frequent. WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION: If receiving a smile or warm welcome from the office staff is not important to you, then I would most likely recommend this location.

The most rudest staff. One young lady in particular who has pink hair and horrible attitude, so unprofessional and incompetent. Couldn't answer any questions, needed another co worker to even check information in computer. Act as if she just didn't understand. The worst experience I ever had with a storage place. I was nervous to leave things here. At a recent visit, police were on premise for report from a customer stating her entire storage was gone. This pass Sunday after close, when going to facility, I witness a man going in and out of different storages and even I asked if he work there, he replied, "kinda" Just an unsafe non professional environment. Horrible horrible experience.

Ashley is super friendly, informative, and professional. The storage facility is clean, well lit, and very organized. I have been with two other storage facilities and my experience here at Cube Smart has surpassed them all. This facility is clean, conveniently located and offers several incentitives for signing on but the icing on the cake here is ASHLEY!! She is the bomb! Very real, down to earth, pleasant...just personable in everyway. Often with companies they only tell you half of the important information and penalize you later. That is never the issue with ASHLEY. She gives you precise info and is always ready to accomidate you to best of her abilities. Her word is her bond. I feel very blessed to have found Cube Smart and Ashley!!!

Cubesmart period is the best storage company besides the AMAZING STAFF the cleanliness, security and flexibility is phenomenal. I've had my unit here for over a year and had a situation and they were more than willing to work with me. Every storage company doesn't operate like cubesmart meaning they could learn something from cubesmart. I've had a storage unit at other companies and had items destroyed that needed to be thrown away but not at cubesmart. The prices are great they always have specials and you can use the truck to move items in. I really appreciate the Staff Ashley is AWESOME and so is the District Manager again they worked with me and all I can say is their professionalism is unmatched. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Let me begin by saying that I initially only planned to have my items stored for a maximum or 4 months. What I loved from the very beginning is that they gave me great customer service. They also gave me the best price for my storage needs in the area, and that is also compared to another CubeSmart location! The other thing I LOVED is that the facility is CLEAN!!! There was never a time that I felt creeped out because it is WELL LIT, and my items have been safe since DAY 1. Now on to the MEAT of the Matter! Due to some unforeseen circumstances I ended up needing to have my items stored for MUCH longer that I initially planned. Unfortunately, I had struggles holding up my end of the deal with CubeSmart. I notified the manager, Ashley, and she worked with me to make payment arrangements. She was not obligated to do so, she could have very well let my items be auctioned off. What mattered the most to me is that through out the entire time that I was in arrears she NEVER treated me with disrespect. THAT IS EPIC. She was never condescending, she always talked to me with respect. She made feel like it mattered to her that I could possibly be losing EVERYTHING that I own! I will also add that I never lied in this process, and I was as transparent as I could be. I was also NEVER rude to any of the staff. I am so grateful for her willingness to work with me. I am also grateful for her leadership approving the arrangements that she made with me. I want to make this CLEAR I am not advocating non payment -BECAUSE I HAVE PAID! I am just saying that the service and the character of the management (specifically ASHLEY) at the Marietta Blvd location of CubeSmart is OUTSTANDING!

I always get great experience at Cube Smart at the Marietta Blvd. location. I come back to this location specifically because the staff is friendly and accommodating. When scheduling my free truck rental ($10 for gas refills). I called 1 minute before closing. Although I was sent to voicemail, I left my voicemail and 1 or two minutes after closing I received a call from Ashley who scheduled me on the spot. Ashley is a major reason why I keep coming back to this Cube Smart location. She definitely deserves a promotion. She is committed to Cube Smart, its values, and its customers.

Amazing experience with Ashley at Cubesmart at 1820 Marietta. She was extremely friendly and went way beyond to assist us for our instore event. We work with several Storage facilities, but nothing can approach our experience with Ashley and the Cubesmart staff. I was impress with the facility from the time I walked through the door. Clean, neat, organize office, excellent customer service and very professional. I would recommend friends to use 1820 Marietta Blvd NW location Cubesmart. David showed me some units on my first visit so I could decide on the right size. He was great, not rushing me to decide on a unit. He answered my questions and gave helpful tips and suggestion as well. Brad showed me the unit on my second visit when I returned to finalize my decision. He was great at explaining all the details, requirements, policies, and operations of the facility. Brad also gave tips on which products would be best for the safety of my electronics. Brad and David are an excellent team and it shows when you walk in to the office.
