Always nails in the parking lot and always too busy to do anything about it so I have to do it, water leaking from the ceiling next to my unit over a week now, rent increases, nasty phone call once after I was leaving the location one time a couple minutes late. I didn't appreciate being treated like a criminal over it from management.

Like the pervious person who written a review 7 months ago, I was too surprised today to find that I have to purchase their lock and it can't be returned. I also pay $12 a per month for insurance plus paying additional $21.60 months rent despite being told I only pay I only will have to pay for one month as I am only renting from the 9th to the 9th next month. There is lack of transparency.

I was surprised to find that I have to purchase their lock and it can't be returned. The lock was about $25. I also pay $12 a month for what they call rental insurance. The original cost of my unit was $55. I have my payments automatically deducted from my account. So my payments are always on time. I have now received a second notice in the mail about a price increase. I go online and a unit the same size of mine can be rented for $39. Yet my new rate starting May 27, 2024 will be $83. I currently pay $70. I have rented this unit for over a year. One would think they would want to keep customers that pay. I contacted the store today and spoke to Shirley. She told me that the market value for a 5x5 unit is $130, so my rates will continue to increase. Yet a new customer can rent one for 1/2 of what a loyal, good paying customer can. I will be moving out.

Unfortunately, I had to move at the last minute during the holidays. The gentleman that assisted my family went above and beyond. The process was smooth and the facility appeared to be clean and well taken care of. Most importantly, he provided an exceptional and premium experience to each and every customer. True “white-glove service”. Actually, he really helped clam my nerves. Give him a raise please! AND he found a larger unit with a better promotion!! Absolutely loved that!!

Honestly Joy, Greg and Abigail (covering west side today from the east Washington store) were all very professional, friendly and went above and beyond. Joy is great with customers and Abigail knows all the software and Greg is very friendly. I was able to rent the truck as advertised with my move in special and had a very pleasant experience. The property is very clean and safe at the downtown Illinois street location. This is my second time returning as a student moving around a lot. Beats public storage by a mile. Thanks, guys!

I do NOT recommend this storage facility. Online descriptions are deceptive. 1st Floor accessible means you have to go to your floor in an elevator from the 1st floor - it should say elevator access. I wasted so much of my movers time in that elevator. If I would have known I would have reserved a drive up access unit. Of course when I arrived, there were no drive up access units available unless I wanted to rent a larger and more expensive unit. The manager on site even said it was deceptive and she wished they would change their wording online. I submitted a review through the cubesmart website and although they said my review was approved it is not listed on their site - I wondered how one business could have such favorable reviews, they just do not post the bad ones. They also do not pro rate - I am moving out 10 days early and I will have to pay the full rent. I am not happy.
