I have had a storage unit here since about October of '24. I have only came maybe 3 times before today 6/13/25. I did notice one of the times I came in about Jan-Feb of '25 that there started to be mouse poop all on the floor in my unit... I have obly clothes and a dresser in my unit so I was highly confused. I tried to brush it off because as a mom that works, I did not have time to pack everything up and find another unit. Today 6/13/25 I came to move all of my things out of the unit, into my new apartment. I had accidentally left a tote open from a past visit I made, and noticed there was a dead mouse/rat on top of my clothes!! Along with mouse droppings all in the tote! Another one of my totes held my shoes, and that tote did not have a cover because I had too many shoes for the cover to fit. I look and there is a dead mouse in one of my shoes, and another at the bottom of the tote! This was just very disgusting and made me have to shake out and check EVERY SINGLE LAST THING in my storage unit before loading it up. I just think it is ridiculous you all will call the day after payment is due for money, and charge fees asap, but people have dead rodents as well as their poop everywhere. I never write reviews, but I was totally shocked today. You all need to fix whatever rodent problem you have ASAP.

Their gate hours are too limited! There's no good reason not to extend them, is not as if it requires any additional staffing... The site is equipped with cameras. Perhaps they could offer late night or 24 hour access for an additional fee? 24 access used to be common, what happened? The reduction of business hours for covid-19 is so stupid! It forces more people into the same space & time increasing potential for spreading! Something went wrong when I dropped my debit card and I was charged a late fee. I was there at opening time to pay but the lock was not removed for the entire day, I finally got access to my unit the following afternoon. Quite frustrating!

My experience with Extra Space was not the best. This was my first time renting a storage unit. So, I had no prior experiences to compare them to. I was lured in by them at a reasonable rate and 4 to 5 months later they increased my rate for approximately $80.00 more dollars. Although you have a contact your rate is not locked in. So, keep movers on standby. In addition, there are also issues with freight elevator repair. I would not consider using there services again.

I like this storage facility. I have had my storage here for a little over a year now and the customer service has been amazing. I would like to give a special shout out to Moe. On Monday, December 7th while at the storage facility the lights went out. At this time I had a good amount of stuff outside of my storage in the hope that I would be able to get some things that I needed and to reorganize my storage. Once the lights went out I started using the timer lights inside of the storage lockers to put stuff away. I noticed that I started to get dehydrated so I called the storage number to see if they had a water fountain and Moe let me fill my bottle. Then the timer lights went out since the electric company was working on the problem so Moe helped me prop the door open so I could keep working. She also kept checking on me to make sure I was alright. One time I left the storage and got locked out and Moe again came to my rescue and opened the door so that I could get my stuff out of the storage. She is an amazing person and her customer service skills are on another level. She did give me the option to leave stuff and come back when the lights were back on but I had so much stuff in the walk way I felt it would be unfair to others as the both sides of the walk way were lined with my stuff.

Worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. After only renting for 3 months we received a rate change notice that literally doubles our monthly rate. After 5 calls and a site visit over the course of a week the only offer the company made was for us to move to a different storage facility, rent a smaller unit on a higher floor, and pay approximately $10 more per month. I even offered to pay for a full year up front. I also learned that the facility employees, including manager, the company 800 number, and the district manager all claim to be unable to assist their customers. We will be moving out and we hope others are not subjected to this treatment.

Signed a contract and paid for a unit at the end of June. Told them I wouldn’t be moving my things in until July 13th. I was told not a problem as long as it was paid for I could move in whenever I wanted. Got to the unit that was listed on my contract in the evening after a 4 hr drive and found it locked with a card on it that read RENT ME! As it was Sunday no one was working but managed to get in touch with someone at the 800 number. She told me she would try to get in touch with the manager of the facility or we could pick any other equivalent sized unit for the same price I was paying for the original. We opted for the latter as we just wanted to unpack and then get to our hotel for the night. Next day went back to the facility to let them know of the new unit and get the lock that I had paid for. Manager gives me the lock and says you’ll get an updated contract. No apology. The next day I get a bill for the next month’s rent and find they did not honor my rate and increased it by $26. Called the 800 number and get the same woman I spoke with on Sunday. She remembered me from her notes. Her response was I’ll pass this on to HQ to see if they will honor the original price. Very nice and very clean facility. Helpful property manager. Easy driveway, easy access inside. Carts to borrow while you are there are available. They have the entire contactless signup and move in process down so it’s very easy. I did some comparing before I joined and their prices were good.

The store mamanger was very nice and answered all of my questions. The storage unit and the area is nice, clean and safe. It’s my first time using a storage and I have to say that I’m glad I chose Extra Space Storage!
