I’ve been a tenant in this building for nearly 20 years. When it was sold to new owners in 2022, I had some concerns — but it’s turned out to be a real upgrade. They went above and beyond to preserve the rehearsal studios, which is easily the most standout thing about their stewardship. They’ve also been incredibly accommodating whenever I’ve needed to transition between rooms or storage units. I genuinely love this building, and I’m grateful to the new owners for the improvements they’ve made to both the facilities and the overall operations. Big thanks to Dennis for all his help along the way.

We interacted with Dennis and he asked all the right questions to make sure we got the best solution for storage. Specifically, we needed to store a very long and heavy wooden desk tabletop without using the help of movers. Dennis showed us various units that might work for us and detailed what we might encounter with maneuvering the desk tabletop with each unit. We really appreciated the transparency, especially since it's just two small-ish women moving a bunch of stuff into storage! Would definitely recommend the facility as well. It is well maintained, has air conditioning, and has plenty of security cameras and an onsite security person.

I’ve had a great experience with this storage facility. The location is very convenient and easy to find, with plenty of parking available right outside, which makes loading and unloading much less stressful. The large elevators are a huge plus—they’re spacious and always functional, making it easy to move larger items. The Stor-U-Self facility in Charlestown is excellent, and I highly recommend renting a unit there for your self-storage needs! The process for renters to get into the building is seamless, and the units are very clean and well-kept. However, what I appreciated the most about the facility was the helpful and kind staff. Both Jeremiah and Dennis went above and beyond to help my colleagues and I while we were basically working out of the units for a couple of days. They gave us great local restaurant recommendations, and were right there to help find solutions the two times we ran into challenges. They really went the extra mile to ensure we could efficiently sort through 15 pallets of craft supplies that we distributed to children’s behavioral health providers across the state.

This is a FANTASTIC self-storage facility! The staff is amazing & extremely helpful. They gave us a great discount & often have deals that they run for new & existing customers. The office itself is so clean, spacious, a setup in a professional manner. They also have moving & storage supplies available for purchase in office at an extremely reasonable price...I think we paid $8 on site for a very study pad lock. They've also got a coffee machine & a very comfortable seating area if you're tired from a long day of moving. The storage units themselves are spacious, clean, & secure. Our 5X11 unit was more than enough space & appeared to be brand new. It looked as if no one had even used it before. The building is extremely secure & has cameras everywhere. The Assistant Manager, Jeremiah, was great & so extremely helpful! You can tell he truly cares about customer service & absolutely made our experience renting here extremely enjoyable & simple! If you're looking for a storage unit in this part Boston, I HIGHLY recommend Stor-U-Self!

Jeremy initially helped me when touring the different sizes of units. I honestly had no idea and needed to actually see them before choosing. He was great. The building is set back and quiet, and there are many security cameras, so it definitely feels safe. Dennis also helped upon moving in. I’ve had a storage unit at this location for about three years. After Store-u-self took over the business, so much has changed for the better! I just moved my unit to a different floor where they have new units and they have upgraded hallway lighting to come on automatically when you walk in. The building is very clean and always feels safe as there are security cameras now in place everywhere. Also, Dennis is so helpful and an all around great person. If you need anything, he’s always quick to help. I highly recommend.

Ive had a unit down Terminal St for 5 years now and its been great. Always dry and clean, nice roomy service elevators and carts always available. After utilizing Stor-U-Self self storage these last several months I have experienced improved usage from this facility. Including elevators that are consistently usable, new flatbed carts and the addition of accessible garage doors at all of the bays with user codes is very helpful when accessing the facility. Dennis and his team are very helpful and will do anything to gain the trust of there customers. I highly recommend speaking with Dennis about your storage needs.

My experience with Charlestown Stor-U-Self was by far the best storage experience I have had. The prices were good and Dennis made the experience easy and very pleasant. When I had a complicated issue that came up on my side he really went out of his way to find a good solution for me. I could not be more happy with the whole experience !

Stor-U-Self Charlestown is an excellent option for storage in the Boston area. I live in the North End and find the location convenient. The new management under the new owners deliver excellent customer service to their clients. I recommend them highly.
