First off the rent started at $204 then went up to $275 a month second the manager Curtis is very rude . We were at storage one night and tried to get out we tried multiple times . It said access granted but gate wouldn't let us out so we seen Curtis and told him the issue and like you do when playing air guitar he played air keypad and proceeded to be rude and said it's simple you do this and that like yes we know we got in earlier . He then followed me over to the keypad and watched me do it 3 times and again it said access granted but didn't open. He then just walked away with attitude and said I don't know why it's not working and went in to the office and opened it from there . No apology for the rudeness when I did everything right . I will never ever recommend this place and will always tell people of my experience there .

My Massachusetts storage unit rental increased of over 100% during the past three years. Cubesmart also says that they will increase your rent every year. Lack of empathy of customer service. Local management and corporate will point fingers at each other for rate hikes and explanation of such a steep increase. Just think of Cubesmart as the xfinity/comcast of storge units

Fine I guess , as far as they have units and you put your stuff in them. My unit seemed dirty with insulation falling from the ceiling. Lots of mice droppings on top of my plastic crates. My biggest problem is how they raise costs. Twice in 18 months. Last year (2023) my unit increased and I tried to call to negotiate but could not get through and so I emailed the manager directly without a response. That’s problem number one with cost increases. When I tried to explain this, the manager (Curtis) got very defensive and prattled on without allowing me to provide him with what I’m about to state in this review. Not the best customer service. On November 30, 2023 I received notice that the rent on my 5x10 unit was being raised to $150 per month. So I quickly booked the same size unit over at Extra Space in Salisbury for $65 per month and moved out on December 2nd. Issues that I have -> The rent increase notice comes on November 30, leaving no time to move out before incurring another month's rent. There are no refunds. The notices for increase in both years (2022 and 2023) come during a time of year when people would be busy with the holidays and at a time of year where it could potentially be too cold to move. That stopped me last year from moving but that wasn’t going to happen again this year. I didn’t bother calling or emailing this year based on my experience from the previous year. I simply moved to a cleaner, newer and less expensive unit on December 2 (first Saturday after receiving rent increase notice in the mail). I still have to pay rent for December of course since I was still in the unit on December 1, but they leave you no option since the rent increase comes via post on November 30. A mid month notice would help so any move out could happen before rent is due for the next month. Easy since they have my email and cell phone but they choose to force you into renting for another month. Why didn’t I just stay for December since I paid? Because I knew the weather this weekend is in the 40s and I don’t know what the weather will look like if I waited to move in late December. Also take note that late December is Xmas and New Years. Seems to be a pretty good (sarcasm) tactic on the part of Cube Smart to make it very difficult to move out. Note that I had 2 increases in only 1.5 years. Also note that it took me less than 1 hour to pick up a van for $19 and move everything to another company/unit. Anyone with a smaller unit like mine should be aware of how easy it is to move to a new location and not bow to these tactics of late notice during the cold and busy months.

Don’t go there! Huge problem with animals destroying everything! We stored our furnitures and personal belongings several months between two homes and we found some of our clothes destroyed and soiled by animals. We lost thousands of dollars, and of course no way to recoup anything despite being insured.

This place went right downhill after CubeSmart bought it :-( During the pandemic they also decided to raise the rent by almost 20%. The second rate increase in less than 2 years! The manager there is very nice, but corporate policies in place make this place horrible. They also send out rent reminders twice a month, even if you've never been late in 5.5 years! I found a nicer, cleaner, cheaper place to store my stuff.
