Eric the representative from CubeSmart store number 5807 was very helpful to me being that I've never rented any storage facilities before. He seemed pretty knowledgeable and was very helpful in letting me know my options and choices. I would recommend anyone who wants to rent a storage unit to come visit this man Eric as I feel he will offer you honest opinions on and a very pain-free no mumbo-jumbo experience into renting a storage facility. What a scam. I rented an outdoor spot from them for over a year. Everything was fine. When I was done I called to cancel and was told on the phone everything was done. Got a charge the next month. I called again and was told things would be cancelled. Was AGAIN charged. Called a third time and was told I would be called back this time by cancellations (which surprise surprise never called me back).

Was horrible. don't recommend anyone use them. I paid like 600 a month for 5 months only to have everything come out moldy and ruined. I lost over $10,000 worth of furniture and their insurance denied my claim. Also didn't get any money back on the rent for getting my stuff ruined

I recently moved out of Baltimore and placed my apartment in CubeSmart storge in Lakewood, NJ. Before we moved out, I called the CubeSmart office and was told that my entire apartment (1 bedroom) will fit in a 10x10. I asked her several times "are you sure?" to which she responded "it can even fit a 4 bedroom apartment." When we got down there with the movers, it was an hour before closing, and the movers said there was no way our stuff would fit in a 10x10, so I called CubeSmart office, and they reassured me that without doubt it would fit. By the time they unloaded half the truck, it was too late to order a new unit, and we were stuck with half of our belongings on the pavement in front of the unit. I had to find a place to sleep for my wife and 9 month old baby, as we were supposed to go to NY, and I slept in the car nearby so that I can make sure my belongings wouldn't get stolen. In the morning, I went to the office located on site, and the employee told me there is no way our full apartment would fit in a 10x10, maybe only one room would, and he does not know why they said otherwise, but he could not help us, and said I would have to rent another unit at the regular price. I was very dissapointed with CubeSmart, as I was told countless times that it would definetely fit our apartment and I would only need one unit, which I got on a July 4th sale for 50% off. I called CubeSmart several times to let them know what transpired and they promised a call from the district manager, which I am still waiting for a week later. I would not reccomend CubeSmart to anyone.
