Review for CubeSmart District Manager Tony and Employee Sabrina
I rented two units at CubeSmart but had an unpleasant experience with an employee named Sabrina. On my first visit 01/25/2025, she referred to herself as "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" and shared a lot of personal information with me, including details about her car and family issues. A new 2024 Kia with 4000 miles was completely destroyed underneath with aftermarket part, the carfax sheet did not list accidents or damages, and she showed me videos of the mechanic pointing out damage that still wasn't repaired. Despite my efforts to help her, by telling her she could sue in Civil Court, and I could help her since I'm good at Civil Law, she reported me to her district manager, Tony, claiming I made inappropriate comments, which I strongly deny.
Sabrina also talked about her father pressuring her into buying the car, and he's a very inpatient person and wants to leave, and it makes her uncomfortable. Then she told me about she had to prepare to leave for National Guard duties. Despite this, she later falsely reported me again on 2/14/2015.
I did ask her before I walked out. Does she still need my help? Because I had gone over her problems in my head. All of the things that this dealership did wrong and I told her I could get her that car for free, and an additional $30k for pain and suffering.
She told me she no longer needed my help that her dad was gonna go with her this time and not do what he did to her the first time and tell the dealership to give her a different car for the same price with the same milage and that he would take the car to his new car dealership, where he works, and check it out thoroughly.
Sabrina's unprofessional behavior continued, leading to misunderstandings and me being kicked out of both units. The district manager never clarified the specific words I allegedly used. Despite the issues. I tried to assist Sabrina with her car troubles, but she later falsely reported me again. I never reported her when she gave me the wrong unit, without checking it with me when I first got the unit. I couldn't use it for 2 days, which inconvenienced me because I couldn't rent a truck. I didn't get credit for it that I know of, and then the third time I had interaction with her, she put the wrong 4 digits for my passcode incorrectly, and it wasn't even close.
I had a cancer patient with me who had chemotherapy that day, and he owns the upholstery shop in the Berlin farmers market. His name is Fernando. After this man finished my 5 chairs for me, he offered to help me to the storage to help me unload them. Since he said it shouldn't take no longer. Then forty-five minutes we were gone for 3 hours, and his wife was extremely upset, wondering what had happened.
She had him sitting outside for over an hour. Both of us are trying to get into the unit. Her car was still there. So I had to go around the side of the building, someone was using the other entrance. And I was yelling her name, and she comes down later, much later, and says she thought she was hearing ghosts. She then makes the comment, the times I don't go check these things, It's when things happen. I didn't check your unit, and it was the wrong one. Cuz the manager marked it wrong as she claimed. Then she said she was supposed to go check the password to make sure it worked and she didn't.
Yet, I did not report her for that, but yet this woman reported me falsely accuse me of something I didn't do.
I'm sure the district manager Tony viewed the video cameras and saw that I was an older black man. (I'll be 60 in a month) That was not a threat to her or my demeanor/body language in the video clearly showed that I was not a threat to her personally or made any kind of movement of a threat towards her.
My interactions with CubeSmart have been deeply frustrating and extremely unprofessional. I plan to seek legal counsel for defamation of character. This area manager and this company need to evaluate Sabrina's mental stability because it's going to get them in a lot of legal troubles.
