I want to take a moment to praise the effectiveness, professionalism, and kindness of the manager. She knew that we would be arriving just before closing time and was waiting for us with everything prepared for a smooth move-in. Throughout the process, she has always been incredibly helpful, always wearing a smile and making things easy for us. There is another facility a few blocks away, but what made the difference for me in choosing this place was the outstanding level of customer service provided by the manager. I apologize for not remembering her name, but she knows who she is!

This location is the best of the best. Andrea made my move in so easy. Took the time to show me units to best fit my sizing needs to store my items. The initial unit I reserved was too small, so I appreciate her taking the time to show me units first. She answered every question I had and assured me that whatever questions I had I could always come back to seek any help I needed to assist with my storage needs. She was very kind and the facility being so clean made me feel comfortable with my choice of storing my items here. I would highly recommend this location to anyone needing to rent a storage unit.

My experience while at cube smart was way less then tolerable. To start this location is infested with rats that are through several pieces of my furniture. This was reported to the management who insisted the damage was there prior to my time at cubesmart. There was also an incident were my locker was broken into from the top of the room. There is a lack of camera as well as rude and presumptuous employees. Stay far far away from this location

Be sure to lock in your unit's rate by paying for multiple months up front — otherwise the rate will go up twice per year and no one can tell you by how much (but it's more than you want it to be!).

We were very impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the two people who helped us. One was Shawnza (sp?) and her colleague, whose name I don't remember....if you said it to me, I'd recognize it. My husband said he was super helpful and clear in showing him how to use the locker. They were very patient with us, as we're first time storage customers. The facility is immaculate and climate controlled. Highly recommend it!

They cut the hours of operation down by 2 hours per day and charge the same price. A sneaky way to increase the price . They also make you buy insurance on top of you monthly fee. Finally, they say they are open until 6pm, yet you can't get in past 545pm. With that being said the facility is immaculately clean and he staff are very nice.

Shonda is the absolute best!!! She was so responsive after I reserved my unit online. When I met her in-person, she only took a few minutes to get me registered and moved in. The facility is clean and there's ample parking space for your loading needs. My only wish is that the facility was open later to better accommodate working hours

The facility is immaculately clean. Multiple utility carts are conveniently left outside the two main elevators and there’s plenty of space for loading/unloading. Now let’s get to what really matters, the customer service. Dijon, Shanda and Jodie are extremely friendly and provide top notch service. You feel like you’re walking into a luxury hotel, without the frills and concierge service. I always feel welcome here and if there are any issues the team promptly resolves them. Shanda and Dijon are amazing! I'd been renting a unit at this location for over a year now and it's been the easiest one to access I've had here in the city. The hours are pretty solid compared to other storage locations. Before I had set up any auto-payments, I was almost late a few days but those two helped me out before anything could happen to my account. I'm moving out of the location due to a personal move and it was a very seamless contract closure. Thanks Sandra!

I don’t write reviews very often (or ever) but i’m taking the time to write this one because the employees here, Shanda and Dijon, deserve it. I’m a rep and I’ve been coming here weekly since September and never once has the staff been anything less kind, professional, and helpful. In fact, I look forward to walking through the door to pick up my key and greeting either Shanda or Dijon at the front desk. I could’ve move my storage unit closer to my house months ago, but I wouldn’t dream of it now!

The place is spotless. The materials you can buy (boxes, locks) are right there., The staff is amazing. After using the space for years, I was able to walk in and cancel my storage unit within a minute. With the passing of my mom there were a lot of complicated things to manage and take care of and the folks at CubeSmart were able to help me with this process and made my life easier in this trying time. I want to thank the manager there, Shanda J. For helping me and my friends get all my mom’s things onto a moving truck to California. There was a lot going on that morning and Shanda took it upon herself to help us out beyond measure to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. I couldn’t be more grateful for her help and understanding. I’ve never had a storage unit before now and working with the team here has been extremely rewarding and I can’t thank them enough. I’ll highly recommend this space to all my friends.

Few people in todays world go as above and beyond as Dijon did at Cube Smart for me. I have been to many storage units in Brooklyn and this is by far the best. Prices are very reasonable as well.

We were expecting to have our stuff in there for six months, tops… until that pesky pandemic screwed things up. We wound up keeping our stuff in for almost five years! The whole time, the facility was clean, secure, easy to access, really friendly staff… couldn’t be better. Was I happy about keeping stuff in storage for 5 years? No. But did CubeSmart make it as easy and painless as possible? Yes!

Avoid this place at all cost I had my designer clothing stored here for about a year, came back and it was infested with clothing moths destroying my mink furs, collectibles etc. and leaving my apartment with an infestation and costing me thousands to replace everything including beds, sectionals and hire a exterminator. I paid thousands for cube smarts insurance to cover this exact potential problem, cube smart manager also told me it was “ mandatory coverage” that I had to spend thousands for & when I tried to use it to cover some of my financial loses I took using this place the claim was denied! I have photos, receipts and everything! Currently I’m taking Cubesmart to court for reimbursement. When I was moving out of the storage locker other customers were complaining about the bug infestation as well and requesting a refund!

Just moved in last week. I would definitely recommend this storage facility. The manager, Shonda, was friendly and very helpful. She made the whole process quick and seamless. The facility is clean and easy to access. I would have given 5 stars except I was told yesterday that they will no longer accept packages which is a disappointment. I recommend looking up the units online and then seeing them in person to make sure you get the best deal for your needs.

On 9.01.23 I came to rent a locker, but I didn't know what size to rent. Shanda came to the rescue. She showed me all the possible boxes that would fit my needs. I have been utilizing this storage facility for the past year and a half and it’s been such a positive experience in every single way. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Shanda, the manager, along with Latasia and Sagirah have been beyond helpful to me since the day I started utilizing my unit. Not only is the staff extremely friendly, but they are also extremely prompt in communicating when I have a package. The staff has even stayed open past close because I was running a little late when coming back to my storage unit. I could not imagine having a better experience, and I highly recommend utilizing this CubeSmart if you are looking into getting a storage unit!

Regarding the location itself, staff member Latasia was absolutely fantastic and helpful during my clearing out process. Things in general were stressful but Latasia made the process a lot smoother and more pleasant. I cannot fault the customer service here. Regarding the business as a whole, I do feel as though some pricing increases over the last few years seemed sudden and unexpected, and I wish that that information had been more clearly communicated. Wow, what a great experience! We had a large truck and had a very easy time loading here. The facility provides large dollies that are a big help. Even more importantly, the staff were fantastic! We moved out of NYC in 2021 to NC. We were fortunate enough to be able to get nine storage spaces of various sizes. The entire staff provided excellent service. The spaces were kept clean and secure. There was always someone available to speak with us whenever we called from NC. The manager, Shonda J. was exceptionally professional which kept us assured an relaxed about our choice with this cubesmart store. We highly recommend choosing this cubesmart storage space for all of your short term and long term storage. Thank you once again to the staff.

Stay away from this place. I have the worst experience with Cubesmart customer service on 6th street. They are nice enough to have you get in, but then you deal with the worst customer service ever. I spoke with the General Manager months ago and she told me I could get the better price when switching my unit if I move all of my stuff from my current unit to another unit, but then she left the place, I then spoke with the other store managers on the phone about the better deal when switching my unit. They said if I want to have a better deal, I have to move all of my stuff from my unit to another unit to get the promotion price. I said ok and told them I would come on Saturday morning to move my stuff. They said if I move my stuff a day later, they only charge a day late. My friends and I then came to move stuff on Apr 9th, then they said they never offered the price. Wow… I then said okay I would move out. My bill due on the 8th every month, I moved out on Apr 9th morning (which is couple hours late), didn’t use the insurance and they charged me $12 insurance for the whole month I don’t use and the portion of the month (they charged the portion of the month is understandable but charged me the whole month for insurance that I don’t use is ridiculous) I told them I moved out couple hours late and they charged me the whole month of insurance. They kept saying they didn’t, I tried to ask if I could talk to the General Manager. They cruelly said No and told me to pay if I want to move out. If not, they wouldn’t close the lease and it will go to my credit collector something. Very cruel.. I then had no choice to pay then received the bill later (clearly said they charged $12 for the whole month of insurance in Apr. Terrible

Worst Customer Service in NYC...and that's saying a lot They will bend over backwards to get you to come in and sign paperwork, and after that...good luck getting a real human being to answer your phone call. I have probably tried to get through to them 30 times since I signed my storage unit and I have had 2 whole phone calls answered. I don't get emails replied to either.

Manager Kareem had a warm welcoming when me and brother in law walked in until we left. Explained everything to us as this was my first time renting a storage unit. Alize (manager) was phenomenal - she gave us a tour and talked to us about the free truck and driver option and what to expect. I had been seriously hesitant about everything until then. Afterward I immediately booked a unit, had a phenomenal experience every time I was onsite and Alize closed me out easily after my moveout. 12/10 service - would do again! Units are beautifully cared for and the whole place runs easily!

Prices seemed like a steal at first, then I got to the storage unit and realized I'd have to climb a large step ladder and struggle to get my things up and inside the unit. What they don't tell you is the smaller units sit way up top on the other ground level units. I made a reservation in the early morning and arrived around 2pm with all the items I planned to place in storage. Upon arrival the office was closed with a sign that read "Be back at 2:30pm". I was unable to access my unit as it had a small pad lock, so I waited. And waited. And waited. Coming up on 3:15pm and no one was back in the office. I called customer service twice and they were no help. Finally I got a hold of the manager at another location nearby and they coordinated someone from their store to come and assist, noting that "someone should have been at my location and they didn't know what happened". After almost two hours of waiting around I was offered no incentives, just a few empty apologies. I tried to ask customer service and the staff member that was sent over for a refund and I was told that they could not help me and I would need to speak with the manager of that specific location. I dropped $95 that day and could not even get a lock, or a month free on them for the trouble. After this month is up, I'm out.

Easy to sign up and easy to move out. I used CubeSmart for approximately 6 months. What I really like about them is how clean and tidy the place is kept. A few storage unit companies I visited in Brooklyn were in poor condition(signs of building deterioration due to age, mold, rat droppings, rat traps etc.) They are a bit pricey compared to competitors, but the customer services both in-person and online makes up for it.

I rented the smaller locker, the one that is only 4 ft tall. They failed to mentioned to me that all smaller lockers are stacked on top of the regular lockers, so you have to climb up a ladder to get there. It was not ideal to lug my heavy boxes up a ladder. Avoid CubeSmart at all costs. The store Manager and employees at this location are great, but the CubeSmart ‘business as usual’ policies fail to account for real world logistics during a global pandemic. Policies that pile on arbitrary late payments for issues stemming from following City and State quarantine guidelines. Store employees barred from using discretion. CubeSmart accommodations to Covid 19 impacts are shallow, with plenty of storage alternatives blocks away.

Have stored here for about 4 years. Hours are shorter than other facilities in the area (closes 5:45pm on weekdays). If the hours work for you, this is a great option. Always spotless, quiet, easy parking; the manager Shonda and staff like Dijon are friendly and helpful, they are interested in keeping customers happy for the long term. Ways to save $: Make a reservation online--they are not able to offer those same rates in-store. Also send in a copy of your renters/owners insurance to save $17/mo (my whole renter's policy costs less than that). They will start chipping away at the promotional rate after about 4 months--you can avoid this by prepaying for 12 months.

It was my first time renting a storage unit and I was a little intimidated by the process. Kimberly and the entire CubeSmart team turned that around very quickly. Moving an apartment into storage can be challenging and there are so many questions: how do I know the unit is big enough? What if we move in and run out of space? By the time it was time to move I felt at ease and prepared for anything that may come up. I felt supported from beginning to end and by the time the move was complete, I was ready to coordinate another! If you need a storage unit, I highly recommend!

I just moved the last of my storage from another facility to CubeSmart. It’s a bit off the beaten path and not within walking distance like public storage was, but it’s new, spanking clean, and we really don’t need access as often as we did. The employees were extremely helpful and pleasant, and it would get an enthusiastic five stars were it not for the fact that our space (we found out only after arrival) is located about 12 feet up and only accessible by ladder (sturdy, new big box store type ladders, more like stairs). Had we not had a strapping young and cheerful mover willing to carry heavy boxes of paperwork up the ladder and into the space, we would have had to choose another space at over 3x the price. So there you have it. If you book online, know you might not be getting all the details on your unit.

After booking on the web, I was quickly contacted by a manager at CS to go over details but I screened the call since I didn't recognize the number. I soon ran into him at the facility where he checked me in to my unit and made sure I was happy and satisfied with everything (I was). He was very friendly, courteous, and professional. He took the time to talk with me, answer all my questions and make sure I had everything I needed. I was very impressed with my initial experience at CS. A day later, I dropped off my first load of things to put into storage. Everything went very smoothly with the exception of my access code not working in the elevator the first time. However, the young woman at this front desk was able to rectify this immediately and it was a complete non-issue (probably just a security check for a first time visit). Overall, I felt welcomed and valued as a new customer and find the facility quite clean and in great shape. So far in my experience, I would highly recommend CS.

The unloading process was a breeze as they have a parking lot and a loading area for you to back your car into. They also provide dolley/carts to easily transport your things to your storage unit. Great customer service and clean, easy-to-access, facility (and usually not busy)! The only thing to watch out for is that you should COME WITH YOUR OWN LOCK FOR THE UNIT! Otherwise, you have to buy one on-site (can't complete your reservation without it), and it's severely over-priced.

Not only was she super helpful but she was an amazing sales person because I was literally about to walk away thinking my stuff wouldn’t fit but she had so much patience with me offering, why don’t u try fitting stuff in and see and sure enough it all fit... total asset to ur company!!!

Great staff and friendly and care to make sure you are happy. Didn't rush me into anything and was very accommodating when I asked to see a few more units. Easy load in and parking lot, not a big lot but big enough for a weekend of load ins and outs. New clean facility and my 1st month was free, and I was able to get a unit on the 1st floor :) Handicap accessible with no curbs and an elevator if needing to go to higher floors right by the office. Uhaul is just around the corner if you need a truck for a few hours. They accept packages to your unit and I saw quite a few flat beds for use. I noticed all 3 units I looked at had a collumn running up the corner, I will need to measure to make sure it's not taking from my agreed space. Get in whole you can :)
