I walked in not knowing a thing about storage units since it was my first time and instantly was greeted by Rebecca. She was extremely kind and attentive to all my questions and concerns. Thanks to her guidance the process of renting a storage unit was super fast and seamless. She was able to answer all questions and is really good at her job and extremely professional. Definitely recommend renting a unit from her and cubesmart.

I have never felt so harassed and uncomfortable. The female staff are brash and rude. I was moving in the woman came up to the floor and watched me moving in and said nothing can’t be in the walk way because if the fire department comes there will be a problem? How can I move and not have anything in front of my unit. And stood up watching me. That is ridiculous and then when you go in the office the males are accommodating and professional, the females are angry people. They should not be an example for the company because right now I feel like removing my stuff and i have 3 more units that I need to put my stuff and contemplating going somewhere else. I have never felt so upset moving in a unit. I have units all over. I am an event coordinator and I have unit all over and have never felt this way. The time it says it closes is 7pm and by 6:45pm they are rushing you out

I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the front desk attendant at this CubeSmart location. Unfortunately, my experience with her has been extremely negative. She has exhibited unprofessional behavior, including speaking to customers in a condescending and intimidating manner. Her tone and conduct are not only unpleasant but also inappropriate for someone in a customer-facing role. Upon moving into my unit, I briefly placed a bag outside while organizing my storage space—a common part of the moving process. Instead of offering assistance or understanding, she immediately began yelling at me. When I calmly explained the situation, she escalated the conversation further and even resorted to calling me out of my name, which is entirely unacceptable. Additionally, she patrols the hallways, peers into storage units, and enforces arbitrary rules in a way that feels intrusive and overbearing. Her behavior is likely to deter current and prospective customers from continuing to do business with this facility. I strongly urge that this matter be reviewed by her district manager or upper management, as her actions do not reflect the standard of professionalism and customer service that CubeSmart should represent. This dosent even deserve a 1 Star

Worst storage in Brooklyn. Everything is out of service. Including the staff. 1- One of the doors at the loading dock never works, making it impossible to move things during busy days. 2- The left elevator never works for customers, but the staff uses it and makes it work with their key. 3- The staff is rude and uneducated, they have no manners. You can go ahead and experience it for yourselves.

I’ve had a great overall experience at this specific CubeSmart and CubeSmart as a company. I especially appreciate the help I received from Talid and Crystal while transferring my new unit to a bigger space. After sharing about my unit concerns and needs, they were responsive and accommodating. They answered my questions and helped me feel well informed about my unit options and my unit bill, ensuring that I paid the appropriate amount at checkout. They provided honest feedback, which built my sense of confidence and safety as a renter at the building since it was clear they paid close attention to building activity. When I shared a personal concern which was unrelated to the building itself, Talid offered a practical and creative solution! They both went above and beyond to help me and I am very grateful. In my opinion, our first CubeSmart unit maintained its initial price for a reasonable amount of time which wasn’t always my previous experience when renting storage elsewhere. CubeSmart has multiple clean and stocked bathrooms, as well as entertaining music throughout the complex. They fully deserve a 5 star review with all of these customer service and logistical details considered. I am sure that I will continue to share awesome news about CubeSmart in the future! I had a fantastic experience at the CubeSmart location on 92 Caton in Brooklyn. Rebecca was incredibly professional, transparent, and helpful from the moment I walked in. She took the time to walk me through the entire move-in process and made sure I understood everything I needed to know about storage policies, pricing, and how to save money during the few months I planned to use the unit. What really stood out was how thorough and thoughtful she was. She made sure I felt completely comfortable with the size of the storage unit, even taking time to walk me through the space so I could visually assess if it would meet my needs. She also reassured me about the facility’s security features, which helped put my mind at ease about storing my belongings. To top it all off, she even gave me a great recommendation for a reliable moving company, which made the entire process much smoother and less stressful. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine desire to help made a big difference. Rebecca not only represented CubeSmart with excellence, but also made me feel like a valued customer. OMG! I had such a wonderful experience with this place, the two ladies here took care of me! I needed a quick rental for some stuff that was delivered and they helped me out tremendously. After making a reservation online I was called almost immediately to confirm, which made me feel great! The lady at the front desk has the worst attitude! Very rude, disrespectful and unhelpful to every customer that walks in. No facility should be ran by an individual that hates their customers has much as they hate themselves. The other male staff also isn't helpful! When asking questions about a concern with payment I was told "We didn't get trained for that". Then what's your job purpose if you cant help customers or at least provide alternatives where I can get the help I need? I wouldn't even recommend this location to the most desperate customers looking for a unit!

The phone representative reserved a unit for me that was advertised as 5x10 but the actual unit was triangular in its layout meaning I lost almost 50% of the storage space. The company would not honor the promotion which heavily influenced my planning and decision to store my belongings with them, despite the fact they falsely advertised the unit. However I still rate them 3 stars because manager Rebecca and associate Jay were understanding and did their best to attempt to honor the promotion (ultimately they could not). Their customer service informed my decision to continue to use this storage facility. Update: they never responded to the follow up email that they asked for below

The location was super convenient for me to go back and forth from my apartment. Everyone who worked in the office was very nice and professional. There was always a parking spot for a vehicle and the use of the rolling carts made it especially easy. I could also take my bike in and up to my space to load/unload it. I wish I had this kind of security at my apartment building.

Received a phone call to confirm details. Was flexible on the lock purchase and waiving insurance (I have renters’ insurance). Talid B was quick and helpful and the information was clear. The unit is very oddly shaped, and I think the price is high for that unit, but the price increase to the next size up with regular rectangle footprint was very large and I wasn’t prepared to pay it.

The manager and newer staff working today were some of the most mean spirited people I’ve ever met in my life. I watched them yell at multiple customers, threatening to terminate people’s leases over nothing, treating everyone like a criminal. They started a huge fight with me because I asked for a new unit in my name after they wouldn’t let me transfer to a bigger unit on behalf of my mother, even though my name is also on the unit. (And that was after they already charged me to do the transfer). When they kept telling me no I asked them to help me understand why I can’t just put a new unit in my name and they said they didn’t need to deal with me, that they weren’t going to help me, and started calling me belligerent and violent and threatening to call the cops because I was frustrated over the situation. I’m sorry but being a little frustrated doesn’t warrant that type of treatment, especially when I’m just asking for help in finding a new solution. We talked in circles for like 15 minutes me saying “can you please just help me get a new unit” them saying “we don’t have to help you because we don’t like your attitude” me saying “I don’t know why we can’t just talk about the new unit” them saying “we don’t have to deal with you”. I think the manager must have wanted me to get on my knees and beg for her help because she actually refused to help me, started giving me the silent treatment, and I had to call my boyfriend to come resolve it. I don’t know their names but I do hope they’re held accountable for this behavior and maybe meditate on their internalized racism. It’s very sad to see black women treat other black women so poorly but jump to help the white man that she’s with and change their story about how they were treating me once he walked in.

Truly awful customer service from the supervisor behind the front desk today. My partner and I are moving belongings for my very sick mother in law and they couldn’t have made the process more difficult. We needed to switch into a bigger unit at the last minute, so my partner went in to pay for the switch on behalf of her mother (my partners name was also listed on the unit). The transaction to switch was literally completed, but this supervisor flipped out and demanded that her employee reverse the entire thing, called my partner “belligerent” and “violent” and even threatened to call the police on her at one point — all over what ought to be a very simple request to switch units. We ended up reversing the entire transaction and putting it in my name. Worth noting that I’m a white man, and my partner is a black woman. She got nothing but grief and accusations of being aggressive and violent, but when I made the same exact request they managed to figure it out. I never wish for anyone to lose their job, but this was outrageous and unacceptable, and this supervisor has absolutely no business working in customer service. She was popping off at other customers, too, and clearly seems to treat everyone who walks through to door this way. We would never use this place if we had any other choice and I would strongly recommend anybody reading this takes their business elsewhere. Zero stars if I could give it, especially if you aren’t white enough for this woman to take seriously. Utterly classless.

I have mixed feelings about this place. It's clean and things generally work fine. I wish the units were better lighted, but that's a minor issue. Unfortunately, they have repeatedly raised their prices while cutting back their hours. Worse than that, they can't even be bothered to post a sign with their correct hours anymore. I guess putting a piece of tape over the old hours with the new ones written in Sharpie is too much work for them.

My fiancé and I had to get a storage space for me as I was moving out of my apartment, and CubeSmart is around the corner from our place so we went for it. Our movers were very late in moving us, so we arrived right before the place closed and though we managed to get all of our stuff off the truck, the facility’s elevators close at 6:45 (too early for people who work at all late, but that’s beside the point) and we were scrambling and didn’t make the cut. With half of our stuff inside and the other half outside , and also realizing we needed another unit in addition, Rebekah took pity on us and was incredibly kind and helpful and managed to get us some extra time (time out of her night, so I felt terrible of course). I even broke down at one point and started crying and she comforted me (moving SUUUUCKS!!). I really can’t say enough nice things about how amazing Rebekah was—10 out of 10 stars for her!!! (Thank you SO much, Rebekah!)

Cube Smart brags about having won a customer service award but...are their employees aware of this??? Talid and Crystal are utterly contemptuous of paying customers. They seem to take pride in providing the absolute bare minimum customer service. The ONLY reason I canceled my unit (that I hadn’t even gotten a chance to use yet – even though it was paid for the entire month of July) is JUST BECAUSE OF their unacceptable customer service. When they’re not giving ~*indifference*~, they’re giving ~*disdain*~. I’d rather throw all of my possessions away than deal with the poor excuse for employees at store 5942. I’d rather pay more to a different storage company than give another penny to store 5942. I’d rather punt all of my worldly possessions directly into an active volcano than deal with the staff at store 5942. Whoever runs this particular location needs to ensure that the staff there gets ACTUAL customer service training. They have poor communication skills and even poorer ideas about what professionalism means and looks like in PRACTICE. Unacceptable. 7/24/2024: I put in a request for the District Manager of this location to call me on 7/13 and I still haven't heard from anyone. Absolutely pathetic.

During my first visit, the assistant (whose name I unfortunately do not recall) was very understanding in instructing me on how to use the facility. He demonstrated patience, kindness, and a friendly, upbeat personality. The staff at Cubesmart, particularly Crystal, were exceptionally friendly, accommodating, approachable, and helpful. I appreciate the cleanliness and organization of the facility and climate control units. I would highly recommend Cubesmart.

Unprofessional General Manager with a disgusting attitude. Unhappy for whatever reason for 2 days back to back (but based on past reviews, the attitude is a daily thing). Tried to avoid her and her attitude from the previous day by speaking with other staff, but her ego got in the way once I mentioned I was not given important information the day before. She stated, "It's not my job," to give the required information after I made a reservation, and she was the only one there the first day. From that moment, she made sure that no one helped me. As I was speaking with other staff, she appeared in front of me and stated, "Are you ready to speak with me now?". She made rude comments about me as I was leaving quietly peacefully, and because I would not tolerate her attitude/disgusting behavior, she chose to remove access to my unit and close my account. I wouldn't trust my stuff in a place where someone can remove access at any moment because of their personal issues or lack of customer service. If you see a black woman at the desk with hair that barely fits into a ponytail, don't even waste your time at this place. I have video evidence of her behavior.

Unfortunately, it was under very difficult and uncomfortable circumstances that I had to place items in storage at CubSmart on Canton St. However, I was so grateful to Harold for his kindness in helping me find a unit and navigate the situation, as well as the patience that he demonstrated while we moved items into storage. We were behind schedule and Harold stayed beyond his work hours to help us get situated; which I was very grateful to him for. What was deeply appreciated was that he did all of this with professionalism and a pleasant attitude; never once showing impatience. His knowledge of the business and procedures was impressive and made me feel comfortable that we were in good hands. Overpriced and understaffed. I filled out an exit survey with Cubesmart with a closing comment that they'd really appreciate if I shared my feedback here, too. So I guess I'm here to say that you shouldn't lease here unless you want 30% rate hikes every few months and to wait forever to get assistance because they don't hire enough people. And if you complain about the rate hikes, they'll tell you can move to comparable unit with locked in prices. And then just hike the price in a couple months anyway.

Great CubeSmart Experience @ 92 Caton Pl, Brooklyn. I recently moved to this Storage Unit. Merle, the Manager was very helpful, attentive and polite. I was having a lot of stress with the moving and had complications including the lost of my keys. Merle listened to me patiently and not only acted professionally but humanly. He understood my needs as customer. The facility is nice and clean which I appreciate. But CubeSmart likes to increase their prices by a ridiculous 30% out of nowhere! It’s happened twice so far and I haven’t even had my storage for a year. The first time I was able to speak to someone to keep my rate the same, which was much appreciated. But 6 months later they raise it AGAIN! And I’m being ignored by their management. I never had this issue at Life Storage. Raising my fees by 30% without giving a bigger size is NOT OK. They can blame it on inflation all they want.. but then raise it the rate of inflation (3.2%), not 30%. I like the facility, but this is unacceptable to customers.

The staff at this location are incredibly helpful. I was shown multiple units before committing to one. When CubeSmart automatically reassigned my storage unit number, the staff went to the unit with me to look things over (there was a huge obstruction!), and they reassigned me to a suitable one for no charge.

Booking storage here was so easy on CubeSmart's website and at the time of writing this review, they were offering a 50% discount, so I'm renting a 4 x 5 x 5 locker for $16/mo. It's incredibly affordable. Merle, the main manager, was excellent at signup. Super friendly, answered all questions, and he let me view the unit before signing any paperwork. I love that he also didn't force any upgrades on me, and didn't pressure me to purchase their disc locks when I brought my own (even though it didn't fit and I had to buy it anyway). Basically, I loved that there weren't any surprise charges and he didn't nickel and dime me with upgrades. The unit itself is great, currently storing 4 totes, 2 boxes, and an armchair with extra room leftover. The facility has a loading bay so you can easily park a car. Inside, it's bright, climate controlled, and secure. You can't enter without entering your unique security code, and you can't use the elevator without your code. Plus, your code only works for your floor, so you or others can't wander on floors that aren't yours. Great stuff, so happy to have space back in my apartment thanks to Cubesmart.

So far it has been such an easy process to obtain a storage space from here. Everyone is so nice. I worked with Alexis G. She showed me several storage spaces. I tend to be indecisive at times. She was so patient and showed me a space several times because I couldn't make up my mind. She was so sweet and professional. It made me feel better about renting a space there. It was also super clean!! When I finally checked in to bring in my stuff, everything worked smoothly. I would highly recommend this Cube Smart Storage. Great experience so far!???? Only giving a start because they stay open later than other. Don’t waste your money . The website and store says the facility closes at 7pm but when the log halon female w glasses work she tells everyone 645 . After I purchased my locker she informed me that the storage place is closed @ 645 and the codes stop working at that . So I went to grab my stuff to move inside the unit . There is a precinct near I got pulled over and arrived at 648 and she refused to let take my belongs up . Extremely unprofessional and false advertising

The facility was absolutely fine. We would have kept our unit had the price increase at the 1-year mark not been so dramatic. We went from $145 to start to $163 @ the 6-month mark, which was reasonable. However, 6 months later, the increase was 75% to $291. Needless to say, we felt this was unacceptable and we moved out of the unit. I would not recommend this storage company due to this business practice.

Service was fast, friendly and efficient. I was able to discuss different payment options and the staff seemed flexible and knowledgeable about what was possible. Facility is ultra clean and well lit. Room was smaller then advertised by about 4". This was annoying but was overcome. First time using a storage facility and over all it was a great experience.
