0/10 do NOT recommend Avoid Cubesmart. They are not transparent about their frequent rent increases. In less than 2 years of having a unit, my rate went up more than double, and despite being a long-term customer, they would not negotiate whatsoever. Terrible and rude customer service.

They increase the prices about every six months like clockwork. They will use excuses such as "you had a sale" and "maintenance fees" to charge you for literally anything they can. I had the exact same 5x7 unit for about 2 years, it started at 75/month and by the end, I was paying 110 a month, no taxes and fees included. Their business model is to pray on people with financial issues. EDIT: See the business' reply. Their new excuse is now "competitive pricing" Hey, CubeSmart, if you took the time to read my review, you'd see my account is closed because I'm no longer interested in being robbed! How exactly do you suppose you'll "address my issue"? A year and a half of back pay?

How many complaints do you need before you do something about it? If there are no upgrades, then why are you raising the rent for the same unit?

Facility is nice, staff are friendly. The company has a horrible business practice, once you are signed up, they seem to increase the monthly fee for no other reason that you have been a good customer for a couple months. “My manager will only consider negotiation this if you come to the facility in person”. Left a bad taste, not interested in supporting CubeSmart with business. Management should take note. Would have kept the facility another 2 months but took items out early due to price hikes

Thieves. A perfectly clean storage facility then they feel free to raise your rent every 6 months. Highly advise against this facility. I pay $150 for the smallest unit and they have "no control" over the rent increase, it's unprofessional and shady. A terrible company policy. Edit: How can you have so many low reviews and still have a 4.4 rating? I already contacted you as said with no support other than you have no control over relentlessly raising the rent every 6 months. Thank you for your useless comment and non support. I'll be moving out as soon as possible.

Cubesmart Storage was perfect for my storage needs. Units were spacious and with very good air circulation so there was no need to worry about any type of damage to my items due to humidity/temperature. The process in getting setup was pretty easy and there were varying sizes to choose from. I also appreciate that I was able to get one month free. The place is accessible with convenient hours.

Simple, easy-access building and parking lot layout. A bit pricier than other options and not 24/7, but those things certainly aren’t deal breakers given the location and other positive factors.

Highly recommend using CubeSmart on Bogart Street. The staff is super nice and helpful - one of the staff members, Miguel, helped us sign up and even showed us different size units since we were unsure of what size would be best. He was patient with us and we were even lucky enough to work with him again when we closed our unit, which was super fast and efficient. Overall, great experience!

They violated their own contract with me by raising my rate without due notice. The “reason” given for the price increase is market rates changing, but I don’t buy that at all. They simply raise it continually because they know it is a hassle to move to a new storage place I would recommend going somewhere less greedy to begin with, so that you do not have to inevitably move out when they jack the price up high.

I rented a CubeSmart at 74 Bogart in Brooklyn for a few months. When I returned to move my things out, everything felt sticky and dirty and I found several dead roaches scattered over my things and in the storage unit, including on my couch and mattress. Really disgusting feeling and not pleased considering I was paying $250/mo.

Edit: Thank you for turning off the lights at night, the neighborhood really appreciates it! Terrible use of space, and ruins the community vibe. Please turn off those obnoxious lights or let the neighborhood graffiti over those blank walls.

Please turn off the lights at night. It’s completely ruining the beautiful Manhattan skyline and I agree with someone else’s review—it’s such an eye sore and really obnoxious. I’m sorry about the 1 star review…I’m sure the employees and service is great but as someone who’s lived here for years, used to seeing the beautiful skyline, this is just disappointing.
