I had a lot of issues during my time at CubeSmart, and I would not recommend this location to anyone. After six months, I discovered mouse droppings all over my belongings. I was under the impression that the facility would be vermin-free, but that was clearly not the case. Now, I’m concerned about what I might be bringing into my home. I’ve had a storage unit here before, for years, and never experienced this problem (I had gotten one when this location just opened). On top of that, they kept hiking up the price month-to-month. While I expected some changes, the increases were extreme, confusing, and felt predatory. I’m thankful for Steve, who was willing to listen and make adjustments or seek approval to adjust pricing, but this happened multiple times, which added to my frustration. I also had repeated issues with communication. In September and October, I went to the office twice and asked to be put back on automatic payment. Both times, the request wasn’t processed properly, even when I asked for confirmation the second time. This resulted in fees that I shouldn’t have incurred. What made it worse was how they handled my account during this period. The first time, they put one of their locks on my unit because of a payment issue caused by their failure to confirm my automatic payment. The second time, they actually broke and removed my personal lock and replaced it with one of theirs. This was super confusing because it didn’t align with the situation. They did provide me with a new lock for free, which I appreciated, but the overall experience was stressful and unnecessary. While the staff made overtures to help when things went wrong, these issues—including the rodent problem, excessive price hikes, and poor communication—made this experience terrible. I would strongly advise going somewhere else. Save yourself the headache.

I do NOT recommend doing business with this company. They upped the price of my storage unit by more than 30% just a few months after I moved in, and changed the terms and conditions of my rental agreement as well. It's impossible to get a human being on the phone, and if you do they're guaranteed to throw you major attitude. Avoid this shady business! The copy/paste response provided below by this business is nothing more than an attempt to appear to address my concern. It's not that I am "frustrated" with rental increases - I was conned by this company's deceptive business practices. There is a substantive and substantial difference between the two. Also, I tried endlessly to contact a manager throughout the two years I was a customer but it was impossible to get any human being on the phone. Don't be fooled by these scammers!

Unfortunately I had to change my rating after experiencing an absolute mess that I am stuck with there. After having a smooth experience with my first unit, I decided to upgrade to a larger unit. I was told there were no larger units and not even a unit the size I currently had. I would need to get a smaller one and it was best to open up a whole new account to get the discount. I did and was told an agreeable amount for the unit. When the first bill came it was $70 more than what was told. They never provided written info for the account. So a battle ensued over two months and I had to call corporate. I was only credited two months and because I already packed the unit and need the storage, Im stuck with a smaller unit at $170 when my larger unit is only $158! It has been the bain of my existence!!

It's clean and the staff at the Remsen Ave location has always been awesome. But they keep raising the rent so we have to find storage elsewhere now. You could at least give people a year, we sign a contract and expect a mutual loyalty. Renting a truck and moving your stuff is not fun but I'll have to do it again. Others promise 1 year with no rent raise.

For whatever reason every 3-5 months I get a letter in the mail saying the rates are going but when I check their site the units I have are lower priced than what I pay currently. I’m not sure what but it’s getting out of hand especially given this is the 3 time this year alone they are raising the rates for a small locker to $89. I already dealt with some of the rude staff in the past these days they seem nicer but after years of coming there I might have to switch. And 90 percent of the times I go it stinks of smoke as if people smoke cigarettes there smh

This review is all me, I was not paid, and I am not an employee of the company. I was looking for a safe and convenient storage to store all my items. While searching, I came CubeSmart at 25 Remsen Ave and after reading review after reviews and loving the reviews, I decided to visit and see for myself what everyone was raving about the storage and the customer service they received from Sharmar. Well, everything said in previous reviews are true. The place is spotless, the unit is clean and customer service was exceptional, and Shamar was a perfect gentleman. I signed up right away and was happy with the promotional cost I received. I will definitely recommend this facility to anyone concerned about their items being safe and secure. And don't forget to ask for Sharmar, he knows his stuff and well give you excellent customer service.

Ever since transitioning from TI storage, customer service has been awful and is now even more expensive. The managers from TI were kind and professional. I hope to find another storage who can accommodate me as well. Not very happy about it.

Called about potential water damage in my unit because they left me a voicemail, now they won't answer any of my questions. She just goes silent, I can hear her still on the line, but doesn't answer, or say anything, for that matter, until I hang up. Makes absolutely no sense. They messed up, they should be trying to fix it, rather than being difficult and rude. If I was even on the same continent, I would move my stuff. Stuff that may already be destroyed...wish I could figure out if I am paying for destroyed stuff or not. If I am, I'm gonna lose it, already very unhappy with how they are handling this. Re your response: I don't know what other info I could provide, I don't remember the time or even the day. The only thing I do remember is that unpleasant conversation. I asked a question or two about my unit and got rude responses, afterwards I tried asking the same questions phrased a bit differently and I got nothing, she clearly just put the phone down and left it.

You have a great staff, very helpful and personable. The units are clean, well lit and monitored for the most part. However paying the bill by phone is difficult, the prompts and message cuts off and receipts are often not sent via email. I've had to ask for them on more than 1 occasion. Also, the TI Logo does not appear on the receipt, instead there is a plain generic SL receipt that looks unprofessional. If these issues were resolved, I would give TI the 100% it deserves. F. P.

This place is very clean, has relatively easy access once u have ur passcode. The reason they are losing points is because of customer service and hours. Their customer service people always seem annoyed that you are asking for assistance or need anything at all, as if you are bothering them from something important. And i wish i had access later in the evening so i can get to my storage. Not everyone can do things within their hours of operations. But their price is good and the storage lockers are very spacious.

They closed at 7pm, we got there @6:50 with a small truck load of stuff to be emptied. The clerk at 7:00 closed the shutters and with great empathy allowed us, even help with to transfer our goods to its perspective area.
