My problems with renting from here are price hikes without forewarning and you have to pay a little more for easy accessibility. It's understaff, with only two-three people on site at once, and they can't answer the phone. Also, I was renting with this place when they were "Treasure Island", and they lost all the history prior to the purchase. Other than those details, it's a clean place, where they won't give you much trouble if you make a small spill because life happens. If they can give heads up about when they hoke the rent, that would be great at least.

The online booking process was simple. All instructions, access codes and payment processing were seamless. Got to the property and was surprised how clean and maintained it is. I didn’t have to do any office contact but to leave the temporary lock on the gate. The only negative was the gate once the temp lock was removed knocked my hand due to how sharp it was.

The absolute worst customer service from the top down. The regional manager all the way down. Service is non existent. Policy changes with no notice to customers. Every step given misinformation then advised to reach out to district manager with no contact to him/her. Times of use changed with no notice to lease holders. Increase in rent and decrease in access hours. I also have 3 other units with other companies and I have NEVER experienced such unprofessional conduct across the board. Yesenia ( another renter who reviewed ) is very accurate with her review as well. Business practices are not reflecting of any business standard. A deli is run better at this point. I cannot stress how horrible this facility has become. Under treasure island we never had these issues. Furthermore multiple outdoor units have been broken into over the last year. No customer service at all. Avoid at all costs. Not worth a red penny. Please note that any reviews over a year old are for treasure island NOT cube smart. They just took over the facility.

Go to another storage but here… i came to the storage and jus pulled my car in the spot the worker tells me turn off the car with attitude. I said no problem she proceeded to give off attitude and while she was even taking people to the unit talking still with her bad attitude which i dont know why i didnt get her name but she has bad customer service written all over her face sorry.

Update 11/1/2023 Short: This location has seen an impressive improvement in staffing. Several positive changes have been made that felt familiar to the old company that was there. Although, the sudden rapid speed of price increase is still a problem with Cube Smart, the change in staff has made this location a much favorable place. I want to thank Affiya and Duane for all their hard work. They are amazing at what they do and did what I thought was impossible. The storage feels like home again, and it is all thanks to Affiya and Duane. Full Review: Ever since the took over of Treasure Island, it has been a roller coaster ride with Cube Smart. The new staff that have take over had been horrible. From making changes without informing the tenants to their unprofessional behavior towards their customers was not a warm welcome to the new relationship. An example of this was being locked out lobby and forcing us to go in through the gate with the pad and all around to access the lobby. Not only didn't tell us formally about this change,but didn't ask our take on it. They claim it was a security issue. However, they fail to realize this makes it hardly on the elderly or disabled who have a hard time with the gate and simply wanted to pay their bill. Fortunately, the staff have been replaced with one that has better customer and communication skills. Affiya, the new general manager, has restored the location back to what I remembered it to be. Her willingness to help within reason is astonishing and well appreciated. She had made a transfer from one unit to the next a smooth process. She offered a reasonable time in which I was able to complete within the time frame. I was even able to set up the process before the date to move the items to the new unit. Her communication skills to deescalate tension is one I got to witness first hand. Not only did she offered solution to solve both parties but she came immediately to see what was going on. Duane, my other favorite associate, is one that always have a smile when I come. His positive attitude and willingness to help always make coming here a wonderful experience. He even offered to have my card added to my account so when I can't make it in person, they can charge your card and save you a trip. As for the packages, thankfully it has gotten better. You are able to send packages under your unit and they receive it. 99% of the time my packages arrive safely here and are always here when I am unable to pick it up the same day. The one percent is purely fault of the carrier and not the staff. The off chance it is not where is supposed to be, the staff calls to inform you that they have located the package and it was misplaced. This only happened once. Even with this mishap, they handled it professionally. Affiya was even kind enough to hold my packages while I was on vacation. (It was a lot, and they were nice enough to hold it for me while I was away, which I super appreciated it!) Pricing is the biggest I have with this company. When you open a new unit, you are forced to get protection on top of the asking price. The asking price isn't bad, but when the time passes by, that is the issue. Either 6 months or whenever they feel like it, can't say since I can't pin down when the increases happened, better expect a little white letter telling you of a price increase. Reasonably speaking, one has to expect an increase because that is just how it is, unfortunatelybut the speed in which Cube Smart does it is insane. This is one of the major issues I personally have with the company. If they were to change the charge the full year (or whenever they please) to a full year, this would be the perfect method to handle their increases and the fair way to go about it. Overall, I am happy to see the change from when Cube Smart has taken over to what it has become now. This is all thanks to the staff who do their best to help their tenants and work within reasonable to help in any way they can. They are very accommodating and try their best to help out their customers.

I like this storage, it’s clean, safe, the staff professional, friendly and respectful. Especially Ruben Tejada is a friendly and professional worker and he helped me a lot and that’s why I recommend this establishment in my experience.

Excellent location! The workers there are all very helpful and go above and beyond to help save you money and time. They knew the answers to all my questions and followed up on all requests. I was given a free van to move with and the best storage possible to meet all my needs. Ruben was super helpful and even provided advice to help me save money! No one does that anymore. He even had me complete everything online so when I physically went there all I had to do was move in. Just great service overall.

I visted to ask about prices and storage sizes and general information more than once. The females were friendly but the male manager and the maintenance man didn't greet me. I tried by greeting them but they wouldn't speak. Customer service means alot to me personally. I was shocked because the reviews said sweet, nice etc Also the rugs need a little vacuuming. Thanks for the help ladies but I may rent somewhere else if I need storage.

They are really helpful. The price for my room was extremely low compared to what I was previously paying at Manhattan mini storage. It's located in my old neighborhood and I feel really comfortable doing business with them. I'm keeping my storage unit for as long as possible. Making it my year-round storage so that my apartment won't get bombarded with clutter. The room's big enough to divide amongst all of the household's nic-nacs. I'm so happy!

When I went to get the tour, it was great! The lady that gave me the tour and set up my rental was professional and nice. After a few visits I didn't see her and the other receptionist is not very friendly. She has an attitude. I like that they are open 7 days. I just love this storage facility! I've been with them for 2 years now. Staff is super friendly and professional, especially Reuben, the Manager. The prices are good and if you're lucky, you can sometimes get a really good special offer. It's always clean. Too many rules. You have to turn in your ID just to use a cart to transport your belongings to the unit. They keep them locked up. And you have to unlock them and lock them back yourself. Annoying. Manager is cool but a stickler for dumb rules. I moved my stuff out.

For years I've been collecting collectables items from across the world. I ran out of space in my home. I needed a perfect solution for my problem...a storage unit. Treasure Island Storage is located at 225 Pennsylvania Ave, in the East New York area of Brooklyn. Manager Ruben Tejada and his associate Calita gave me a (V.I.P feeling) tour around the facility. The storage facility is in super clean condition and the facility's temperature is on point. Ruben and Calita counselor me about the facility, the prices, and the hours. Their answered all my questions I asked them. I felled so much in love with the storage unit, the building, the prices, and with the hospitality that Ruben and Calita was showing me. I felt right at home. I signed up to be a member of this facility, that same day. My solution to my problem has been solved thanks to Treasure Island Storage and its staff (Ruben Tejada and Calita). I came in after driving past on my way home hoping to get my move figured out. My movers cancelled on me for a move the next day, and I was very stressed trying to get everything organized. Rubin was beyond helpful getting everything organized. He called a moving company to get me a quote, showed me the units, and then ended up offering me an amazing deal to get a unit for the next day and use the treasure island moving truck instead of lying movers. Security is 1st! I Love the feeling that I can leave without having the stress of my stuff getting tampered with. All Different Sizes Unit. The employees are very professionally helpful and has a sense of humor. A quick tour was not an issue for them. The loading dock has Alot of room whereas there can be multiple ppl unloading or loading without being in others way. The floors are clean as well as the units. The pricing isn't bad either. Plus 24Hr Security on the Outside, Thanks DollarBill. Yes I would greatly recommend Treasure Island Storage to Friends and Family.

Found this place on a random drive on Pennsylvania Ave and needed a storage to move my things back to NY from Pitt. The staff was amazing and really hooked me up. Anthony was great help and have great patients. I witnessed first hand what he and maybe is coworkers go through with new clients. This guy must of been Arabic, excuse me I don’t judge. But he didn’t speak good English and was getting up set because he was in a rush and felt like he was being charge for the whole month which was in the end of the month. He also got a free month which he didn’t understand he was getting. He missed out on a lot of key details. Anthony explain everything there was to know before you agree to the terms. He tried to tell Anthony how to do his job where Anthony was very patient with this customer. People come to America and can’t speak proper English but there are a lot of free classes out there that will help you smh. Learn English because this is a English speaking country.
