Cube smart itself and its policies are not so great. Not sure how to handle that ownership changed overnight with no notification(s) as required in original contract with prime storage. I got a small unit last summer after selling my house, and it was a very seamless transaction. Good rate for the promotional period, and after the promo ended it wasn't too much of a price increase, it was reasonable. I just closed out my unit as I am moving across the country, but from start to finish, Tamara was so friendly and helpful at every step of the way. I wouldn't hesitate to work with her again. We need more friendly people like her in the world!

I initially chose Prime Storage because of their affordable rates—my unit was $15/month when I signed up in November. But just two months later, in January, they hit me with a 253% rate increase, raising it to $53/month. It feels like a classic bait-and-switch: they lure you in with a low price, then dramatically jack it up once you’re settled in and less likely to leave. I understand that prices can go up, but more than tripling the rate in such a short time is unreasonable and feels exploitative. It’s disappointing and has completely changed how I view this company. Be cautious if you’re considering storing here—they make it appealing at first, then hit you with a surprise that’s hard to swallow.

I checked bout both locations for pricing and availability. Hatfield has cheaper pricing. Again I was greeted by Crystal and her awesome personality. I ended renting a unit here very clean facility compare to places I stored before. I highly recommend Prime to anyone. Oh! And no rodents. First things first, I booked the storage unit online. Was told it was $40 per month. They beat every other price. Once everything was signed up they doubled it to add insurance until I could prove I had coverage. Everything was packed so didn’t have paperwork at the time. I called to activate everything, girl told me I couldn’t do anything until the next day. Show up the next day during business hours and nobody is there. I call and someone is in Quakertown location and told me I can do everything on my phone. I was told I didn’t need a pin the gates are open until 10pm. I was also informed I would have to pay extra to get access after 10pm which would require a code. He also told me he unlocked the unit the night before for me even though there was zero communication and I could have moved everything in when I had help. So it didn’t start out great. Then I tried to drop in on 3 different occasions to give insurance paperwork to reduce my monthly bill and the door was always locked to office. I don’t have a computer to scan documents so this was the way I could do it. I was late one time and they charged $80 fee. What a joke for a company that can’t even pay someone to be in the office. I tried to make things right but employees are just rude and I will be talking to a lawyer about the conduct and availability to my unit. Multiple times I could not access my own unit and office was closed to talk to anyone. I offered to take items out and set up a payment plan as the items in the unit meant a lot to me but employees are classless. Steer clear unless you prefer terrible service and trying to figure everything out for yourself as the employees give you a different answer each time you talk to them. I was told by an employee that I made my pin and it was my fault so I asked her to look up when I made one and she couldn’t find it. More lies… The times I could get to unit when gate was actually open it was filthy. They don’t clean up leaves and debris. I had to fight a pile of leaves and nasty dirt because they are too lazy to maintain their property. When I would reach out to customer service I’d get directed to up state New York to someone who would tell me the manager would call me back and they never did. They would even sit on the phone with me while emailing the location I needed help at since NOBODY was there…. I’m just so glad all their calls are recorded because I know what was said to me was a lie and you can’t conduct business like that. TLC is 1000% times better and more secure. I recommend them to anyone looking to avoid trashy units.

NEW MANAGEMENT IS FANTASTIC!! I was with Prime Storage - Hatfield for 4 years. When I first moved in, they were the cheapest in the area. I quickly realized why. The management was poor, the people who worked in the office were rude and apathetic, and the security gates were wide open 24/7. In addition, my rate went up 125% in less than 2 years. I would have moved out but there was no vacancy anywhere else (a fact the office worker told me in a snarky tone). I was stuck. I finally moved out earlier this month, but in the process of moving out I found out that Prime Storage - Hatfield has been under new management for about a year. While my rate never went down (why would it - it is a business after all), as I was preparing my unit to be vacated, the new (to me) manager and people who worked in the office were INCREDIBLE. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. The manager saw me pull in one day and came to find me to see if I needed help holding open doors or getting carts of my things to my truck. She went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I was fully prepared to eviscerate this company in a review when I left, but ... as cliche as it sounds ... the new management completely changed my opinion of the company (at least the Hatfield location). I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a storage unit.

I’ll start off by saying my experience with several different storage units has been nothing short of a disaster. I spoke to Crystal from the Prime Storage in Hatfield, PA and from that moment I realized this is where I’ll be storing things that mean a lot to me. I downsized when I bought my house and didn’t have the space to store a lot of items that have value but more importantly have sentimental value. Crystal helped make this process comfortable, affordable (by going over different sizes and cost), and was extremely informative. I usually wouldn’t leave a review this long, however, I really wanted others to know how great my experience was from the moment Crystal and I spoke before coming in to sign the paperwork to moving my belongings in. This is the worst storage company I have ever used! I had to get a unit from them for my brother who passed away unexpectedly. Are parents are older and could not handle all his affairs. They never sent me invoices so they always stuck me with late fees. I filed complaint after complaint and I was ignored. I also had my personal insurance company covering the items in the unit but when my policy renewed the manager at the Hatfield PA location lied and said I did not have insurance coverage so again they charged me more money. I took the unit out of my name and other family members took on the unit which after only one month they too saw how crooked this company was. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! YOU WILL GET BURNT!!

Used their storage for a couple of years. The sent me to collections for not paying a $13 insurance and the collection agency is stating I owe $150. I showed the lady there my renters insurance policy and because an employee lf Prine Storage didn't do their job I am being sent to collections for something I don't owe. Frank, the supposed owner told me that talking to location is useless as this happened a year ago. He asked of I had documentation then show the collection agency. I told him if they have cameras I have proof. He told me he is done as it was a year ago. Don't trust this location. They say they will call you back, but you have to call several times to talk to someone.Last week spoke to a Shawn and Frank fhe owner today told me there is no Shawn. Frank I see you replied to a review from last week where the person mentioned Shawn. Looks like you are making up lies. Don't trust Frank as he will lie to you. This isn't acredited with the BBB.

DO NOT RENT AT HATFIELD PRIME STORAGE. My personal experience was as follows: I rented the 5x15 Unit online and Docusigned as well as sent in my home owner's policy for insurance purposes. Next, I was sent the code to the gate and online payment information. When it came time for the online payment the billing was incorrect, (I was being billed for their protection plan). I had to go in on foot to pay the bill because not one supervisor was available on the corporate line when calling into the company. This was difficult, the clock sign was always on the door and the front door was locked. The next month came and now when signing into the online account not only were the old fees still on the account but there were also new fees for the protection plan and the billing statement moved forward two weeks out extending the contract beyond the billable date to the end of the month. Please read your billing statements and do not be afraid to ask questions or have the office help correct their mistakes. Corporate, online billing, and the individual stores need a better system. This should have been a very easy process and it was not. Metro Storage is running specials and it is right across from the Royal Farms on Line Lexington.

Units are very expensive. I need something for 5 to 7 days. Will not rent less than one month. I had my own insurance but couldn't use it without having actual paper in hand, had go pay for their insurance. Administration fee also. Then, because I only needed it for a short time, I had to fill out a move out form or they would charge me if they didn't have 15 days notice. The form required me to tell them why I was moving out! Is it really any of their business? Day after I moved out, got a voicemail asking for me to call them. Some guy that said he was the general manager told me he didn't have a move out form! I told him it was there and that I had a copy and all of a sudden he find it! Now I keep getting bombarded with texts and emails asking me to review them! Well here is your review. How you can justify getting paid for a unit twice is beyond me. I am sure if I went back a couple of days after I moved out, the unit was re rented and you got double payment for the unit for 25 days! Crooks!

This place seemed like a great place when I was only paying 110. Within a year, my price was jacked up 60 dollars more. I know their business is suffering throughout the pandemic and I sympathize, but shouldn’t the customer be accommodated as well? They’re not the only ones suffering. Also, after seeing reviews on here about the gate being opened and people being stolen from, I decided to investigate and sure enough the gate is ALWAYS open. How can I feel safe that my stuff won’t get rummaged through when that’s the case? So now I’m renting a storage unit that’s 60 dollars more that may or may not be broken into. I’m sticking with this business for now due to extra costs needed to move out of there, but I would never recommend this place.

I tried contacting another local storage facility and never received a response & no one at the office. I stopped at Prime storage in Hatfield and spoke with Haniyyah who got me set up right away. She was very pleasant and took the time to explain everything, including the insurance coverage and how to get that waived by providing my homeowners info. The only minor issues are the location and access right at the end of an expressway; makes it not so easy to get to and exit from, but it’s doable. And the other little glitch was the 50% off the first month that was advertised online, but wasn’t available when I rented in person. I asked Haniyyah about that and she said she did look for that promotion but could not find a unit to which it applied. Again, was not a major issue, but something that maybe should be addressed. I’m glad I stopped in.

UPDATE! Their gate is STILL open ALL the time! I drive by at all different times and even when the office is closed. AlWAYS open! So glad we got out when we did! If your concern is security... This is NOT your choice! 6/2022 This review is not for Haniyyah. She is great and has been so helpful and empathetic to our issues! She gets 10 stars! HOWEVER.... The Hatfield location is horrible. I have been a customer of theirs for 10 years. When I got my first unit it was still Locker Room Storage. The last year has been the last straw. Rates keep going up, but the property looks like they gave up. They rave about security on the website, but there is NONE! The gate is wide open at all times! Anyone can go in and pop a lock off. I have seen reviews about that actually happening as well! Driving around the lot you can see the fence is broken and there are multiple places for someone to get in if they wanted to. When contacting the District Manager Evan about our concerns he seemed like he cared and wanted to help us. I spoke with him multiple times and nothing has been done. All he did was offer $50 off of 1 month rent. The last time I spoke with him he said he was going to the location to see what was happening and would get back to me. Well, that time came and went. He was never there and has not called, nor returned my call when I tried calling him. There is NO SECURITY, NO TRUST and NO HONESTY. Except for Haniyyah... again, she's great!

My storage unit is in the Hatfield location. This is the first time I'm using such a facility. The office folks were very nice and friendly, and were a wealth of knowledge, giving me tips and pointers on everything I asked them. Thanks :)

Not particularly happy with this storage facility. The gate is frequently broken and left open. They block the doors with snow during the winter. They force you to get insurance on the contents of the larger units even if you don't need or want it. I pay almost $300 a month for a 10'x30' without electricity and without climate control. The door to my unit jammed several times. And even though I called and was told someone would go over and close it, it was left wide open for almost 2 days. They expect you to pay the rent per their contract but do not fulfill their end of the bargain by providing a safe and secure unit. At one point they found someone living in my unit and they didn't bother to notify me. After that person was told to leave, my 55" TV and a few other items went missing, which that insurance policy would not cover. I would have moved out a long time ago if I hadn't become sick and unable to physically move the stuff inside. Without any income for 3 years, I can't afford to pay their rent and the rent on a smaller unit as well as someone who is physically able to do so.

Great if you want someone to break into your locked unit. Funny how our unit with a lot of collectibles including rare baseball and hockey cards, diecast cars, camping stuff, 1,800.00 bike etc with no help or care at all. We'll see you in court

Aweful! Light only stays on for less than 1 minute and then it's pitch black. Fell and hurt myself because I could not see when light shut off. Also, the 'climate controlled unit is so hot. Moving out as soon as I can. I've told everyone there so many times and no one does anything **UPDATE** IT IS JAN 8, 2022...NO ONE, NO ONE HAS REACHED OUT TO ME AS THEY STATED THEY WOULD. NOPE, NOT CONTACTING THEM ANYMORE, MY ATTORNEY WILL BE THOUGH. **I DO NOT RECOMMEND**
