Today I submitted a lawsuit against cubesmart for deceptive trade practices, fraud, breach of contract and damages. They do not have an iota of customer care or troubleshooting as they failed to respond to emails or certified mail. In reference to Hamilton, OH location and the DM (Richard)… Original: one of my units were auctioned off one for than what was owed on it but almost 2 months later they have yet to refund me the difference which they are legally required to do. No one knows what to do and the DM says…I will send an an email…I checked a report. The unit being auctioned was strictly my fault as I was sick for an extended time and thought it was on auto-pay. The contents of the unit being sold is strictly on me, and no fault of location. Update: I was informed there would be no added fees so the check could come in. It came in on a Tuesday, and I immediately deposited it at the bank branch. It cleared on Friday, and I went Friday to pay for the units. There were around an extra $250 worth of fees on my accounts. Though k was told there would be no added fees, there are and the District Manager (Richard) refuses to remove them. I did everything that was asked; and on there end, they kept zero of the word. It took over 2 months to receive the check.

?? AVOID CUBESMART ALTAMONTE SPRINGS — Deceptive, Harassing, and Unprofessional Management Do yourself a favor and don’t fall for the so-called “specials” at CubeSmart in Altamonte Springs. What starts off sounding like a great deal turns into an absolute nightmare the second you sign up. Before renting, I had a phone conversation with GM CHAD MILLER, where I explained up front that my boyfriend—a respected vintage clothing collector—would be using the unit to store clothing, take photos of his pieces, and post them on his website to showcase his finds. Nothing was being sold from the unit. There were no customers, no foot traffic, no business being conducted—just someone documenting and preserving vintage clothes. Chad said this was 100% fine. Then the harassment began. Suddenly, we’re being accused of running a business—with zero proof. No evidence, no complaints, just assumptions. And here’s where the nonsense really kicked in: • Their website states unit access from 6AM to 10PM. But because my boyfriend is sometimes there 30 minutes, sometimes up to 2 hours, they claimed that was “excessive.” I asked: Is there a time limit during access hours? They couldn’t answer. Because there is no policy. • We brought a personal power bank, charged off-site, to light the unit—because the lighting they provide is awful. That, too, was suddenly “not allowed,” but once again—no written policy to show for it. • We had a desk and chair in the unit purely for storage. No electronics, no monitor—yet they claimed we were “setting up an office.” Completely baseless. When I asked very direct, reasonable questions like, “If someone with OCD wants to come organize their unit every day, is that a violation?”—no one could give a straight answer. And when I called about ending the lease, I was told I had to give two weeks’ notice—but the CubeSmart website clearly says just clean out the unit and remove your lock. When I confronted them with that, they immediately changed their story to match the website. So which is it? ?? The staff is rude. The rules are made up. The management, especially Chad Miller, is dishonest and manipulative. They tell you what you want to hear until you’re locked in, and then do everything they can to make your experience miserable. I will be contacting corporate. I’ll be posting this experience everywhere it matters. If you value truth, privacy, and integrity—STAY FAR AWAY.

They evicted the entire third floor so the can have more office space. What are you supposed to do if you have multiple units? Eat the cost of moving again and take time off work after being a loyal customer? Also know they will regularly raise the rent. My rent was 33% higher than when I moved in after less than a year.

Never EVER do business with this place! They don't care about their customers. I highly recommend Life Storage instead! They will actually work with you if you are going through hardship. Cubesmart only cares about their money. I had my car stolen back in September. The fiasco cost me a lot of money and I was late on my September payment. I tried to make the September payment on the next due date and told them I would be late in my October payment as well since I am trying to recover financially. They told me they didn't care and that I have to pay it or THEY WOULD ADD A $110 LIEN. I would be recovered in November and be able to make timely payments again. Lord knows the way the economy is right now, the cost of living is already difficult. I actually tried to switch a smaller less expensive unit while I was in town in september (I moved out of state) to handle the car theft situation but unfortunately the car theft fiasco took longer than expected and I was not able to make my appointment to switch units. I also did not have any money to make a trip back to Schaumburg IL all the way from Texas. They Don't care. Gail Johnson who is the district manager was supposed to call me to find resolution but she never called. She's terrible and only cares about herself and her money at the end of the day.

The answering machine says there number one in customer service. So have called for days because of a problem with my unit and have not received a call back. The people who do answer just transfer me and it’s always a machine. If you like driving to your storage unit to ask a simple question than this is a place for you. If you love being on hold to end up with an answering machine, then this is a place for you!

Applied for a job. Worst interview experience. The first person was concerned with DOM mechanics and Google Core Web Vitals, which I get, but can also be learned in a short amount of time (DOM, CSSOM, render tree, paint). The second person did a half an interview if measured by time, but less than that if measured value. And the third interview bailed. Then their recruiter ghosted me. Asked for feedback, nothing. So much for fiduciaries. Thought they were going lock my resume and auction it off. Definitely what I would expect given the nature of their business. You have extra things, and the other self storage companies are probably the same, so why not? I just don't want to see nor hear about it. What a terrible aspect of life.

I have had a storage unit at this CubeSmart location for over 2 years. I signed my lease in 2017 with Shemeka - I hope she has since been promoted b/c she is AMAZING! I was making a very last-minute, temporary move out-of-state, & she was a lifesaver. ABOVE & BEYOND! On one occasion, I accidentally left something outside of my unit. Jason offered to store it for me in the office storage closet until I was back in town - Sure enough, 3 months later, it was there waiting for me! Above & beyond! I recently made the decision to start the process of emptying out my space, and Anastasia and Miranda could not have been more helpful - Even thinking to deactivate my autopay so they could accurately charge my card a per diem amount once the unit was cleared! I fully expected to simply pay the monthly rent up front and receive a credit for the pro-rated balance afterwards. Above and beyond! I have had nothing short of exceptional experiences with every single person at this facility. They are the reason I continued to store at this facility after moving to Michigan, then Hershey, PA, and even after moving back to the area. Oh, and by the way, after 2 1/2 years of sitting in a storage unit, not even a spec of dust on anything!

I had a positive check in experience at the Malvern Cube Smart. The manager took care and time to explain how it worked and to show me different options. 2023 Update- I had a good experience at this facility up until they evicted the whole third floor to make room for office space with less than 60 day notice and no “thank you for being a good customer”. They had to have been planning the construction for months and could have given us longer notice and more friendly communications.

Highly recommended! We rented a unit for a few months while moving. It was our first time using a storage facility, so we weren’t sure what to expect. We were welcomed by very friendly staff, who did a great job explaining the process and showing us around. The facility is so clean, new and easy to get around. We rented on the 3rd floor and found it easy to access by using the loading docks, dollies and elevators. Our movers were even able to close the account for us as they left, making things simple for us!

I absolutely love this place. The manager Anesthesia as well as the other young lady who works there Miranda were nothing but helpful. They meet every accommodation and made our move into our units flawlessly easy. From the first time I came in the office, they made us feel completely welcomed and accommodating. They advertise as they are giving you a month fee,but their service charges are equivalent to the fee at your time of registration..they charge you a service fee every time you need to change a cube..they will not reimberse/ prorate even if you DON'T use the cube for the whole next month just because your billing cycle began a day earlier.. I have been using this storage location for almost two years and every time I walk through the door I am greeted with a smile. The facility is impeccable and the Manager, Anastasia, is a breath of fresh air. This facility is by far the best storage center I have ever used. This location has excellent customer service. From the moment I signed for 3 storage lockers with CubeSmart, I loved the people and the storage facility. I had no reservations whatsoever in storing my furniture and household items at CubeSmart. This facility is super clean, climate controlled and accessible. Jason, the assistant manager, at the facility is just wonderful to work with. He is extremely helpful, always greets us, and helped the movers with providing information to them to use elevators, etc. Jason is a true asset to CubeSmart. THE WORST OF THE WORST A TOTAL DISASTER !!! Rented my storage unit at Cube Smart on September 2016 in Dania Beach, FL. 33004 storing all my personal and family belonging that I'm extremely attached to it ,including ( just to mention only few of them ) black and white old family pictures , watches , old painting and a bunch of other personal and valuable items kept and saved from many years. Came back at the storage unit in Dania on may 17th 2017 after my fishing season and shipyard work, up north, to pick up my stuff and going to ship it to Seattle . Trying to open the lock door with no luck then called the manager in the office mister Jonathan witch he sent a maintenance person mister Diego with a tool cutter at my storage unit. Once he cut the existing ( not mine ) lock and finally able to open my storage unit door with a big surprise we noticed that THE ROOM WAS TOTALLY EMPTY . When asked to the management how that burglary could happen they didn't really have any explanation other than say sorry. Thank you Cube Smart AFTER I PAID ALL MY MONTHLY FEES for my storage belonging , now they are all gone , and if I wouldn't check on the unit , who know for how much longer I will have to pay an empty storage unit !!! TOTALLY RIDICOLOUS !!! By the way , even the Police Officer that came to see and give me an accident report he couldn't believe it . Also check this out , BEFORE to cut the lock I noticed that ALL OTHER UNIT LOCKS HAD THAT RED STIKER ON EXCEPT MINE. The red sticker ( witch says thank you for storing with cube smart ) is a sticker put on every lock when personnel do rounds every week (according to the management) to confirm that everything is in order. When I came at the cube smart office the day before , I asked to the manager why the red sticker was missing on my storage unit ??? He said some times they are NOT regular on rounds and after he pulled a big roll of stickers from his desk he gave me one and told me that I could put it on my lock... !!! The second very strange thing is that everything was gone, I mean literally speaking the room was totally empty... When thief go for a burglary usually they go through stuff making a mess looking for some valuables and leaving behind all they do not need... How come instead everything was gone even unnecessary one broken furniture and few bags of stinky fishing clothes, old boots and old clothes that nobody really want ????? I`M TOTALLY DEVASTATED FOR THE LOSS OF MY FAMILY BELONGINGS. I will put ZERO stars if possible !!!

I worked in paoli and a man came in from cubesmart office and I asked him about renting, he said go and talk to Colleen the manager she is so nice. It took me a few month but when I made it over there yesterday late in the day she was so nice and very very helpful. They did not have what I wanted but she set me up with the cubesmart in exton. Loved the CubeSmart in Malvern! Very clean and safe, and climate controlled. The way the units are designed they are also very well ventilated. Walking along the units feels like being inside a really nice new modern office building. Customer service was fantastic - Shemeka Sinclair and Colleen Falls were wonderful to work with. Move in, move out, and everything in between was great.

My experience with CubeSmart has been top notch. The service is awesome, I remember when I first leased my storage unit, I was one of Colleen Falls first customers. She was helpful and very professional her first day, and she only got better everytime I went. The facilities are super clean and comfortable, and the security is very good but not to difficult to work with. I just bought my first house so I am leaving my storage unit, but if I ever need another or anyone asks me where to go, no doubt I will send them to CubeSmart. Thank You CubeSmart and Thank You Colleen!

Awesome customer service and an awesome space - clean, new, climate controlled. Solid security, I was confident that my stuff would stay safe. Only downside, they book up quickly, especially the larger units. Make a reservation early!
