Stopped by this location today to get a quote on a cube. Kenny assisted me and was very knowledgeable. He gave me a tour of a unit, quoting me pricing and looking for a discount for me. I walked in this afternoon and was greeted by the lady up front, Toni, and she was wonderful, very knowledgeable. Offered specials on the rental I wanted as well as the layout of other rentals available. Quoted me the price. Upon signing she walked me through the paperwork and the process of driving to my unit. We wanted to move our belongings that were previously in storage closer to our home and decided on this new location. They had a promotion going on for 40% off and first month free and all we had to do was pay $29 for what I believe was an admin fee or new lock. I ended up paying about $70 and will still get my first month free so not too bad. I received emails and did everything online which made it easy and also received a call from the onsite manager welcoming me and providing instructions on how to access the property and my unit. Great experience so far!

Just rented 2 units at CubeSmart in Conroe, TX. Kenny and Toni did an outstanding job explaining all the details; providing a tour and then professionally handling the check-in process. Toni the Manager is always so kind to me and has top notch customer service skills. every time I happen to go by there, she is always telling me hi, checking in on me, just to be sure I am ok. The facility is new and well organized. The counter people are nice, and ready to help. I really liked working with both Kenny and Toni. We’ll see how the price increases go. Seems to be the game to provide incentive “come on rates” then jack up the rates sometimes multiple times a year, once you’ve moved in. Some people call it “bait and switch”. Workers in the industry that I talked to while researching say they have seen it before. Of course "bait and switch” is a fraud, and if you don’t know, that means illegal, punishable by some pretty heavy penalties of both prison time and Three Times fines as punitive damages. I would call that type thing predatory marketing, pricing and misrepresentation. Also illegal. One other note. They charge you for insurance, not just to make sure you are not storing nuclear waste which might harm others, but they make you carry insurance for liability AND YOUR OWN PERSONAL LOSSES. That is different. Seems to be so that if they have a disastrous loss, (even if they are at fault), they owe you nothing. If this results in lower costs to the consumer, great. If the prices are raised unscrupulously from the initial price, then the consumer who was forced to go out and get both liability and personal property coverage is the looser. They also make you assert all of your goods are not worth more than $5000 in value. That way even if they toss a stick of dynamite in your storage locker, they have capped their liability. Finally, if you can't make your insurance agent squirt out the exact detail they want for insurance, they charge you for theirs. $16 a month. If you have to move in before your agent gets a complete set of the required docs in to them, and they charge you the fee, and your docs show up the next minute, there are no refunds. Be aware. Based on the people they hired to man the front desk, I have no reason to believe these owners are anything but good people. I certainly hope so. After all this is a franchise and they get all their legal protections from a standard corporate design - not the individual owners. As usual, when the lawyers are on the loose and the consumer gets the shaft. We will see. I have been teaching customer relations for 33 years. If you screw your customers, you won't have them for long. That never changes. I look forward to a long, honest and fair relationship with these folks. To be fair, if that is what they deliver as my customer experience, I will amend my review in future to add a statement of how they are taking great care and treating me fairly. For now all is in good order and I appreciate the experience and the business interaction thus far. Recommended.

They lock you in with a good rate & “discount” & then a few months in the rent will go up 25%! I get increases but I was paying $164/month already, now I’m having to pay $205/month. Time for a new storage facility!

This is a fast and convenient way to store. I've used this storage facility more than once. Always clean, always on point. If I ever needed to talk to anyone, the front desk is always very helpful. Most of the time you can rent a unit and move in without ever needing to speak with someone. Super easy.
