I’ve rented at many different storage facilities before so I figured they were similar across the board, but I was wrong. The elevators at CubeSmart are terribly small and can barely fit two wheeled carts side by side in there. The elevators continuously time out on you and the doors start to close only a few seconds after getting your first cart in the elevator. Lastly, after struggling to get both carts to fit in the elevator, you have to shimmy your way outside of the elevator and enter your code again because by the time you’ve managed to fit everything in there (which sometimes isn’t too long) the elevator setting will time out requiring you to go outside and enter your code again before you can leave the ground floor. Rent somewhere else if you can, specifically with large, wide elevators. I only rented here out of convenience.

We never had any safety issues - we used our code to get into the gate, into the facility, and into the elevator. There were always enough carts and enough parking spaces.

There are other choices in the area that are better. Rodent droppings in our unit. Also difficult to unload because of the way the doors are. We’ve also been looked in and out of the facility because the security gates were not working. After multiple attempts to speak to a district manager about our concerns, she finally called back but offered no consideration for the issues. It’s a shame because we ended up moving out and renting a 10x30 as well as a 10x15 at another storage facility not far away. We rent on a long term basis. All that had to happen was a simple phone call to empathize with us and maybe offer a small concession for the problems we had. Businesses need to learn the value of their customers. You can do the math… 2 consistent units over a 3 year span equals about 18k in lost revenue, just from loosing one long term rental. This doesn’t even take into consideration a possible vacancy for an extended time, every day a unit is vacant that’s lost revenue! Plus now you have to market for new tenants and turnover a unit , that takes payroll. Owners want occupancy! Customer service should be the focus and you will see the rewards to your bottom line. For being one of the more expensive places in the area, I would have expected more.

I moved here from upstate NY and have my entire life stored at this facility. I am here often to retrieve various items and every single time I enter the facility, all at varying days and times, I am hit with the amazing scent of CLEAN. The entire facility is spotless and meticulously maintained. The bathrooms are always absolutely sparkling. I was fortunate enough to be here today when the staff of TWO were there doing what they do with care and kindness. Both smiling and exemplifying how we all should try be on a daily basis. Happiness.
