I rate it so low because I had to take a day off to come in today because I could not get in on a Sunday. The gate did not work and I tried calling the location manager. Somehow, on the billboard, and no response. Also looked like I saw someone ravaging through one of the storage units. I may have to move quicker than I wanted to.

This review is more for customer service not the actual location but unfortunately I have no way to review them but I’ve always had good experiences with the office staff here. So the keypad to enter the property has had a lot of issues. I used to use the app and it would remotely open the gate but that no longer works and my actual code always works to exit but recently doesn’t work to enter the gate and I have been fortunate enough to catch other vehicles there and I go in behind them and in the past customer service would just give me a temporary code very quickly no problem Now in the last week customer service has been very problematic and today’s experience has brought me here So I arrive at the gate and the keypad doesn’t work as usual recently. So I called customer service. I verify the following as they ask me the following…. first name, last name, phone number, my address, the property’s address, my account number, my unit number, and my gate code… then she asks me for the last 4 of the card I used last to make a payment which I do not know that info. So she tells me if I don’t have that she can’t give me a temporary code which makes no sense after all the other verification questions I knew. So I’ve been on the phone for 30 minutes now sitting outside of this gate and I’ve given them enough info to get an home loan at this point but she can’t give me access because I don’t know the last four digits of the card used last. So then she gets attitude with me when I tell her ok well I guess we will go through every single card I have until we find the correct one. Honestly her attitude did it for me but at the same time what’s up with this verification process??? I’m pretty sure the first 8 questions I verified is enough to allow me in the gate.

The experience overall wasn’t bad with the location and quality of it. However the reason the low review is given is due to the following. I rented a unit from this location right when CubeSmart bought it. I rented the unit at $30 per month. A few months later I received a notice that the monthly rate was increasing to $52 a month. When I called the front office and spoke to the owner he said corporate increased the price. I then called corporate to discuss it with them. They stated that price increase was high and would put a request for the manager to work the rate with me. About an hour later, I received a call from the owner who I spoke with earlier and he said corporate authorized him to work on the rate with me. He said corporate authorized a few bucks off and he said he would bring the rate down to $50 a month. At that point I knew this location had no intention of truly providing customer satisfaction and only cared about getting the money from the rate increase. I am no longer storing at this location.

Our belongings have only been there for 4 months, and we already have rats. There is no sign that the storage facility does any kind of rodent control. For the expense of renting a storage room from them, rodent control should be an included service.

I stored my stuff in a 5x5 for about 5 months and never had any problems. Decent price and no leasing. They also have a badass chihuahua that definitely let's them know when you're there, so that's a plus. However, I did have a small amount of rainwater come into my unit, but I expected that and it really wasn't much. Just a use a tarp and you'll be fine. A little water doesn't lose you a star.
