Extremely upset. Im disabled and not able to drive to the location and found out that they switched companies without letting anyone know. No email, no update no letter or anything.. Im getting voicemail. Only notice I got was that my payment was due soon. They sent letters about personal events but not that they switched companies??? I liked this placed but after this im extremely angry. Im reviewing my contract and seeking representation.

Do NOT do business with CubeSmart! They are highly unethical in their business practices. In their assumption of ownership, their computer systems did not process their auto drafts. As a result, their accounts were all delinquent due to the changeover in their accounting software systems. The young lady I spoke with told me to check back on Sunday to see if the computer system was online. I did as she instructed only to learn that they had charged me a $78 late fee. I’ve had a unit with Champion Self Storage since 2013. Not only are they charging me $78.00 late fee, but Monday morning I was sent an email that states my account is suspended and my unit has been overlocked. I highly recommend no doing business with any firm that is this unethical.

Kimberly is so amazing that I just reserved my SECOND storage unit at Champion Forest. I’ve had a storage here now for a few months, and I couldn’t be happier. It’s clean, safe and the design is fantastic with all storages being close to an elevator. I didn’t plan to move everything from my other storage for a while, but I decided it was time today. Kimberly makes it easy, and I was in and out in no time. She knows her stuff… I can tell she has been in the industry for a long time. She’s literally the reason why I rented here and the reason why I remain happy with choosing this storage facility over the multiple ones in the area. Moving is never fun, but Champion Forest made it a hassle free process!

Twice now we've tried to enter our new storage before the closing time we were told/listed (9p) and the door to the building has been locked. 8:50p and the gate says "invalid time". DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. Highly disappointed! Unprofessional. Why do business if you can't uphold your basic rules??? Proof in photo attached.

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience with the store clerk on a Saturday morning in July. We previously went to reserve a moving truck a day in advance for the following day, we were very well attended to by the owner of the place (I don't remember her name) but the next day when we went to pick up the truck, the service was terrible, Mr. Romero had no idea how to handle the service, we were never able to pick up the keys to the truck, we lost a lot of time. We decided to go to another Uhaul, we did exactly the same process and they served us wonderfully.

THE OWNER IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE! “DO NOT MOVE YOUR BELONGINGS TO THIS STORAGE.” I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH STRIFE. YOU WOULD THINK THAT HAVING A STORAGE SPACE WOULD BE EASY, SIMPLE, AND STRESS FREE NOT HERE. I WAS DOUBLE CHARGED FOR A UNIT IN WHICH I PAID ON TIME. I CONTACTED THE OWNER RONNIE AND HE INITIALLY STATED HE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO REFUND ME FOR THE SECOND PAYMENT AS THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH OTHER CUSTOMERS BEFORE AND HE PROCEEDED TO SAY HE WILL CHECK INTO IT BUT IT WILL JUST BE A CREDIT ON MY UNIT. I PLANNED ON MOVING OUT OF THE UNIT AND ADVISED HIM OF SUCH. HE THEN PROCEEDED TO SAY I MUST GIVE A TWO WEEK WRITTEN NOTICE TO MOVE OUT HOWEVER MY PLACE IS READY NOW. I HAVE NEVER RENTED A STORAGE UNIT WHERE YOU HAVE TO GIVE NOTICE TO MOVE OUT! HE THEN SENT ME A RECEIPT VIA EMAIL OF BOTH DOUBLE CHARGES STATING NO REFUND. SO I PROCEEDED TO BE PROACTIVE AND CONTACT MY FINANCIAL INSTITUTE TO INFORM THEM OF THE MATTER. THEY ASKED HAD I REACHED OUT TO THE MERCHANT AND I EXPLAINED TO THEM WHAT RONNIE STATED. LATER WHILE I WAS AT WORK RONNIE REACHED OUT TO ME STATING HE WOULD APPLY THE CREDIT HOWEVER I HAD ALREADY CONTACTED MY BANK AND FORGOT TO MENTION THAT TO HIM. ONCE HE REALIZED CONTACTED MY BANK HE CALLED ME IRRATE YELLING AND SCREAMING STATING WHY DID I CONTACT MY FINANCIAL INSTITUTE AND ACCUSING ME OF DOUBLE DIPPING AND THAT I WENT ABOUT THE SITUATION COMPLETELY WRONG. HE THEN STATES HE’S GOING TO CHARGE MY UNIT ALL TYPES OF FEES LATE FEES AND SO FOURTH. I cannot say enough about this storage place. I have 3 other units at other locations and needed one very close to my home. I rented from this location until my office warehouse was ready for move in. Ronnie at the front desk is very efficient, kind and knowledgeable. The location is very safe, well lit and CLEAN. I had a nest of wasps that had built in the hallway by my unit and I could not get by them comfortably. I went to the office and Ronnie literally stopped everything and went and removed it. I am only sorry that I have to move as my unit was a corner unit with lighting inside when I raised the door. You will not be sorry if you rent from this location. Thanks again!

Coming from out of state we really wanted our possessions to be safe and secure because our whole house would be stored. We did not know a lot about flooding, but we knew this is something we wanted protection from. Champion Forest storage offered us great security in knowing that our belongings were safe from not only burglary, but the outside elements as well. The owner even showed us pics of the surrounding area during Harvey and his facilities were nice and water free, this made us feel confident that we choose the right company to store our belongings. The facilities are well maintained and very clean from the office, the units down to the restrooms. Everything was so well kept and we also loved that this was a family owned establishment and they took pride in their business. Thank you so much for providing excellent service. We will definitely recommend anyone to store their possessions here rather than a huge organization that doesn't put the care and pride into their facilities.

We recently rented a U-Haul truck, with the intention of storing at a competitor. Turns out Champion specializes in safe, secure, storage. We met Ronnie who is a storage expert. (I didn’t even know that was a thing/title) Ronnie took the time to help educate us on the importance of climate control storage versus regular non-climate. It’s actually pretty interesting how climate control works, but I’m kinda a nerd. LOL! Not only are you getting safe, secure, storage but they do NOT flood and have an amazing picture of Harvey to prove it. I really like how clean the property is with huge hallways and huge flat carts to make the move-in even easier. If I still haven’t convinced you this is a 5 Star facility, the office is Amazing! They have Pac Man! PAC MAN!! It was so cool to relive my good ole days. Like I said, I’m a nerd. Come visit Ronnie for all your storage and truck rental needs. They’ll treat you like Family.

Best experience I’ve had renting a moving truck. The truck we reserved wasn’t available and they not only communicated ahead of time but gave us a free upgrade. Ronnie has amazing customer service and took great care of us upon checkin!! (They also have a ton of free games/entertainment for the kids while you’re checking in, in the office) Lawrence helped us checkout and was super friendly and accommodating- fantastic experience from beginning to end - made the moving process so much easier.

I don’t write a-lot of reviews but Ronnie may be someone I never forget! I rented a U-haul online yesterday. I arrived at this location to find out I booked my reservation at a different location. Ronnie accommodated me quickly. I was under alot of stress and could barley check in because my hands were trembling. Ronnie filled out my online pick up. I shared with him why I needed the truck. Ronnie was so nice and offered kind words. While he pulled my truck around, I played pacman and completely forgot about my problems. The previous managers were great. They were always working on the maintenance. Although my unit is not climate control, and is down a hallway the new manager raised my rent from $100 to $200 / month. Then last month I was 2 days late snd they charged me $240!!! Tonight we went to get the last few items out and the light bulb was burned out down our hallway. I thought well maybe the timer cuts off the lights at a certain time, so I decided to check the lights down another hallway. It worked perfectly. Every time I have gone to the unit there has been some kind of trash down the hallway. A lot of money to pay for lack of maintenance. On top of that Ronnie kept telling me I needed to have everything out by the 20th of the month. I well paid for my month(s). Trust me there are storage places around bigger and cheaper where you won’t get gouged.

Excellent service. I needed some guidance on unloading some very heavy appliance by myself with a bad back off a 10 foot box truck with no sliding ramp. We went here to get packing paper. The U-Haul website sells 200 sheets for $10, but this place charged us $30! Even 500 sheets on the U-Haul website is only $25! When we went back in thinking they would correct a mistake, they told us we were out of luck, that they’re not U-Haul and they can set the prices to whatever they want. THIRTY DOLLARS for 200 pieces of packing paper when we could have gotten 600 for that price! That’s obscene. I wouldn’t recommend this place for anything since they obviously feel comfortable ripping people off even when confronted about it.

My girlfriend came to this location and we found out that Uhaul customer service sent her to the wrong uhaul location and we thought we had a rental at the Champions Forest location. The on-site manager, Ronnie not only stayed open to help my girlfriend Jenn not only get a unit but he gave us a little extra time past closing to make another run back home and to the wonderful Champions Forest Uhaul. We almost started crying (ok I did) because it is such a trying day with my baby girl Jenn going on “vacation”. Ronnie the property manager was so compassionate and helpful. I spent all night/morning packing and moving things in my car that could fit, moving off of 3 hours of sleep, and was just extremely exhausted walking into the rental appointment. But speaking with Ronnie brought my energy back up. He even went as far as to explain to me what the picture (of a flood) in the office was after I asked. This area is a flood zone but they have a picture of when Harvey hit and their property was the only property not affected. What a wonderful place to store your stuff! I went with a friend to help her empty her car that was loaded with boxes of merchandise. Wow! Simply WOW!! Came in to rent a U-Haul truck. I’ve rented before at U-Haul company locations and it’s always a disaster. Long lines, dirty facility, and terrible customer service. So naturally I had no expectations walking into Champion. Was I wrong, Ronnie and Holly made us feel right at home. The office is set up like an old school arcade. They have Pac-Man, shuffleboard, great music playing I honestly thought this isn’t a U-Haul norm. Ronnie went above and beyond to explain EVERY little detail on our rental. He made sure we understood our contract and even walked us to the truck and thought me a cool trick on turning off the tow-haul button on the truck so we don’t waste gas. The service at this location is so amazing we actually ended renting a 10 X 10 storage space. If they treated us this good on a truck rental we can’t go wrong renting storage here. Fair warning, they will take your picture and put you on their Family wall so try and look pretty. Hahaha. Thank you Ronnie and Holly for making us feel like family. Will ONLY rent and recommend this property going forward.

They never flooded during Harvey! ****UPDATED REVIEW **** The previous property managers have been replaced by a guy named Ronnie. One month into our unit rental we were overcharged!! We entered our contract at a rate of $135 a month and were charged $169. It was automatically billed to my credit card with NO NOTICE of increase given. New property manager Ronnie says the rates have changed and offered us a discounted rate of $159 a month as a concession. This is dishonest and is a very poor way to do business with customers.

We used Champion Forest Self Storage for 2.5 yrs while living in London. The facility did really well during hurricane harvey and the facility is always very clean and accessible. The staff are very friendly as well.

The grounds are kept very well and have great security for protecting your storage. I recently visited Champion Forest Self Storage and the office staff there significantly exceeded my expectations. I needed a storage facility to move a bunch of stuff that still needed downsizing out of a house so I could renovate it and the staff gave me every detail on costs, access, etc, and showed me what was available to enable me to make a decision on what size to rent. The facility was very clean, well laid out, had good security and access hours. It was one of the best self storage facilities I've seen and is very well managed. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a self storage place.

Ed & Sarah were very nice to work with. We have used this storage facility before. It is very well run and super clean. All the inside storage units are air conditioned. After our experience with this facility, we would not use any other storage facility.
