Patty the property manager had my car towed because I ate dinner at the place next door before my booked online appointment to reserve a storage unit from their website. Here's the kicker – the lot only has signs saying "Patron Parking Only", which obviously led me to believe it was for any patron of the plaza, not specifically off-limits or assigned to any one business. I explained to her that I booked an appointment online and shared proof and she claims I didn't even a signed contract. $310 illegal tow of a disabled army veteran plated vehicle. Pure ruthless Hoping the district manager is more reasonable. Wanted to give them a chance to resolve directly before filing a police report for illegal tow. #ParkingNightmare #CustomerServiceFail #DiningDisaster

"I recently used first colony storage Sugarland for a few months to store some furniture during a move, and I couldn't be more satisfied with their service. Patty the facility manager was amazing helpful kind and positive. The facility was incredibly clean, well-maintained, and easily accessible with wide aisles for maneuvering large items. Patty was friendly and helpful, providing clear instructions on accessing my unit and addressing any questions I had. Security features like gated access and surveillance cameras gave me complete peace of mind about my belongings. I am renting a 10 X15 ft storage at this location. From the start Joyce who works there made me feel very comfortable in choosing this location. Yesterday, I was not aware that it was her time to go home. I needed some help and she took her time to help assist me. This the the kind of representative I wanted to work with. We have rented storage space at First Colony Self Storage on several occasions; we have always been pleased which is why we return.return. We chose First Colony Storage for several reasons: the facility itself, the local management, and the cost. The facility can't be beat; it has a great, convenient location - easily accessible; it is spotlessly clean; and the climate control and environmental control are excellent. We have never had a problem caused by temperature, humidity, or other environmental issue, including insects. The local staff is wonderful; Nancy and Robert are pleasant, sociable and caring. Working with them is like working with friends or family. You can see that they truly care for their customers and the facility. They treat it like their home - because it is. The cost for the storage units is reasonable and they are a great value.

I have stored for many years and at many locations. First Colony Self Storage is by far the nicest, best maintained facility I have ever experienced. I cannot imagine that there are better property managers anywhere than Robert and Nancy. Every tenant gets VIP treatment.

I have stored here for 5 years. It is always clean and extremely well kept. The security is excellent. My things are always clean (no hidden rodents). I am never afraid to be there, at night. Nancy and Robert are on the property, most of the time. They are just the best managers ever. And, they know their tenants. After Hurricane Harvey passed through the area, I called Nancy and told her I needed the largest unit she had available. She handled all the documentation, immediately. This was one of my best moves, ever. Both of my daughter's homes flooded. The flood destroyed everything in the lower floor of one daughter's house. The other daughter did need to use the unit. I appreciate Nancy's quick response to my needs. The next day (after I called her) she had only small units left. My son-in-law has also commented on what a really nice place this is.

It has come to my attention that the review I posted last night did not reflect my feelings about First Colony Self Storage. The review was incorrectly reflected as a 1 star. This is a 5 star business! Robert and Nancy, who manage it, are the best! They are so nice and so very helpful. Plus, and this is very important, my belongings are safe there. The building is well patrolled and very, very clean. Young men who were helping my daughter move some of her things in there commented on how beautifully kept the building and storage areas are. Please believe me when I say that First Colony Self Storage is a prime place to store your treasures!

I have been storing at First Colony Self Storage for over 4 years. I moved to California and have come back to ship my stuff in storage to California. The storage looks as clean and well kept as it did 4 year ago. Robert & Nancy are still the managers there and are still giving amazing customer service. They came out of their apartment after hours (they live on the property) to help me get in as I forgot my code. They told me they had been there for over 12 years. What a nice surprise when I opened my unit after four years thinking it might smell, but it did not, weren't any bugs and really very little dust. Just think about it, receiving just as good customer service when you are moving out as the customer service I got the day I moved in. Great storage, none better, not even in California.
