As the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth have exploded with businesses, restaurants, and an arts and culture scene, the area has also overflowed with Texans, and the newly-Texans, craving city life. Business and housing developments have diffused further and further past the cities’ borders, creating what is now referred to by residents as DFW, or The Metroplex – an economic and cultural hub of north Texas that continues to grow rapidly. Residents spill out into the nearby suburbs within The Metroplex to find the perfect balance of big city accessibility and small town culture as the bustling central cities become popular and pricey.
Just 37 miles north of Dallas, the mid-sized towns of Frisco and McKinney have experienced continued development and population growth. Texans settling down outside of the city have caught on to the towns’ perfect balance between proximity to the cities and a cozy Main Street USA feel. Wedged between Frisco and McKinney, the neighborhood of Westridge has experienced this boom firsthand and continues to thrive and grow. With neighborhoods filling up faster than they can be built, our McKinney self-storage facility in Westridge gives residents a little more room for their seasonal items, sports equipment, or retired furniture.
Our store offers a variety of storage options, including outdoor parking for boat and RV storage. We also offer a free move-in truck, depending on availability, to help you get your belongings to our store without making countless trips. For added convenience, our store manager lives on-site at our Westridge store.
Take a look at what our customers have to say about this store:
“Hands down David and the staff at this location are the absolute BEST! They are the friendliest, most helpful, caring, and understandable people we have ever had the pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend them!!”

How to Get to Us
Our Westridge store is conveniently located at the intersection of Westridge Boulevard and Custer Road, across from the WestRidge Golf Course. We’re 20 minutes from downtown McKinney and only 15 minutes from downtown Frisco.
Around Us
After a morning of moving in or out of storage, we recommend hanging around Westridge for an afternoon of big Texas food and small town fun. McKinney’s Historic Downtown and Main Street always offer family-friendly events and festivals like their annual Bike the Bricks bike race. If you time your move just right, you may even be able to enjoy McKinney’s own Oktoberfest. With dancing, activities for kids, and authentic German food and drink in a 14-block “beer garden,” this festival is a must-see—just remember to pull your dirndl, lederhosen and other German costumes out of storage!
Less than 20 minutes from our store, the McKinney Performing Arts Center offers concerts, movies on the big screen, and tribute performances nearly every weekend. When the holidays roll around and you head to your storage unit to pull out the decorations, cap the trip with a Christmas performance at the MPAC
A day of moving and storing will surely work up your appetite, so stop by some of Westridge’s favorite spots. For those with an insatiable sweet tooth, The Donut Kitchen, just 5 minutes from our store, offers unique, homemade donuts like the Mango Habanero or the Bavarian Cream.

If you prefer the savory side of things, get the best Texas BBQ at Hutchins BBQ, only 10 minutes from our Westridge store. This family-owned and operated restaurant dishes up mouth-watering brisket, pulled pork, and stuffed jalapeños to feed all of the family and friends who helped you move.
Even if you don’t have time to sit down for a meal, be sure to take home a few groceries from Local Yocal. Producing quality, local goods, this farm to market shop offers meat, poultry, and bakery items that Frisco’s and McKinney’s residents love and trust.
