I moved in shortly after they opened and their units are beautiful, I honestly think they might be bigger than 10 ft by 10 ft. Also, the location is very convenient to both Middletown and Cromwell. I recently moved a half hour away from where I used to live. And I had a storage unit down that way as well. I wanted to look around for storage units close to where I live now and found CubeSmart and they were having an awesome deal going on. When I went to check out the facility I was very impressed on how cleaned the empty units looked. I was very excited with the staff. They were so kind and understanding and what I was looking for. My wife has a corporate account. The lot is black ice and barely plowed all winter. A dangerous place to have a storage unit. No one seems to care…She called the regional manager who never bothered to call back. Never had a problem until CubeSmart bought the facility. Very little or no ice melt put down on the pavement making accessing the unit slippery when loading and unloading samples for work

I had been at a unit in Portland but after 3 years they raised rent to $360. So I found CubeSmart in middletown. Naomi helped me along the way and was incredibly informative. Their Air Conditioner went out they never informed me. By the time I got back to go to my storage unit, there was mode on everything I owned. The owner of the storage place in middletown, on newfield street, basically told me to get a lawyer!

I had previously given a 1 star review due to some issues we had within our unit. But I have to say after working with the District manager who was extremely professional and seems very dedicated to her position we were able to rectify our issue. The onsite managers are also very nice and professional. My issue seems to be something that was an abnormality, but I did want to leave my poor review for this facility due to how my complaint was handled and how everyone I had to speak and work with seemed to actually care, NOT including the insurance company we used to insure our unit they were useless. So I do recommend if you need to store any items this facility would be a good choice.

I’ve had a unit since 2021; they were taken over by Cubesmart recently. The front door of my drive up unit has never closed tightly-there’s a gap; water seeps in, even though l have 3 draft stops along the front. The few times l asked about moving, no units were available. Right before the ownership transfer, water seeped down from the front of the roof and caused water damage to some stored items. Prior management said they’d work to repair/replace my items. Soon after, the ownership changed and they refused to do anything. Repairs/replacement probably in the $100-$150 range. Corsage from a 2013 wedding isn’t really replaceable. Lastly, l didn’t receive notice of the change-notice was lost apparently. This year Rates increased by $30 and l was notified 27 days prior, by mail. I’m almost ready to vacate; my personal deadline set for 10/17/24.

We were looking for last-minute storage space for summer college break. The office staff were very friendly and explained all the costs. They do require a one-month minimum. The storage room was clean and easy to reach. if you need storage on short notice, CubeSmart Self Storage is a great option.

Outstanding facility. A sizeable but not a huge deal issue: The exit gate has no number pad or anything else to allow you to...exit, you must drive within inches of the gate in order for it to open. Anyone that is new to this facility won't know about this issue, signs regarding the same would've saved me time.
