This is one of a series of articles spotlighting our storage facilities and neighborhoods.
Jamaica, Queens has been marked by some in New York City real estate as the next hot neighborhood; although, you won’t see the trendy eateries or expensive boutiques just yet. What you will see are cheaper prices, fast access to Manhattan and lots of cultural diversity, which adds up and attracts those looking for a more affordable cost of living. Hotspot amenities tend to follow.
The neighborhood has always been a cultural mecca. African-Americans, West Indians, Hispanics, South Asians, South Americans, and Caribbean Islanders have made Jamaica home in the past 20 years. If you are new to the area, the diversity will quickly be experienced in the restaurants lining the streets and neighborhood events.
Jamaica is one of the most crucial transportation hubs of New York City. A 20-minute train to Penn Station, Jamaica provides connections to the Long Island Rail Road, as well as the JFK Air Train that transports travelers to the John F. Kennedy International Airport. Positioned in the center of a neighborhood with an interesting history of cultural diversity, our CubeSmart Self-Storage facility in Jamaica, Queens has been helping residents of the community with their storage needs since 2001. Our CubeSmart store is conveniently located just two blocks from the Sutphin Boulevard – Archer Avenue – JFK Airport station, serving the J, Z, and E trains stop. For bus travelers, this store is still easy to reach by the Q41 bus. This location offers the best access for the moving and storage needs of locals, Manhattanites, and students at St. John’s University and York College.
With over 900 self-storage units, this Jamaica storage facility right on 94th Avenue has the extra space city-dwellers need, among other amenities. Customer Anthony R. wrote on Google, “This is my second storage unit at this location, staff are wonderful, the location is clean and service is always with a smile and friendly. Located right near [sic] major highway and parking is easy and so is access to my units.”

Recent Customer, Nick59, wrote online, “Truly pleased with the staff who has been nothing short of fantastic. Highly recommend this location for your storage needs.” Our Jamaica location strives for unparalleled Customer service, as experienced by Customer George Psomostithis (Psomo1975):
I had the best experience in customer service from Manager Cary Morales and General Manager Tiffani R. They helped me access my storage cube on the last minute when they were closing! It was such a convenience because I came from Europe and had an early meeting in the morning, I had to have some equipment from my storage. They really stepped up their game. I am very happy with this location […] Thank you Tiffany and Cary, I appreciate your help.
