This is one of a series of articles spotlighting our storage facilities and neighborhoods.
Along the south shore of Long Island, the village of Patchogue, New York is a fun, family-oriented community known for fishing, shopping, and dining. 60 miles outside Manhattan, the quaint town and beautiful waterfront are home to a range of local events to fulfill any music, food, or art lover.
Best encompassing all that Patchogue has to offer in one destination, Dublin Deck Tiki Bar and Grill is a local favorite for good food, great drinks, and a variety of live music performances. With festive theme nights and their own volleyball league, this place is so much more than a bar and grill. Just five minutes from our store, Dublin Deck is right on the water’s edge, boasting stunning views of the Patchogue River and water access to Patchogue Bay and Great South Bay via the on-site marina, Leeward Cove.
Leeward Cove Marina can store your boat in season, but when it starts to get cold and snowy, our Waverly Avenue CubeSmart self-storage facility can provide the off-season boat storage you need. We also provide outdoor parking for RV storage and car storage.
CubeSmart Patchogue offers professional organizer services, individual lighting and electricity, and 24-hour video recording. No matter the size of your move, we have the services to best suit your needs. We accept deliveries of your belongings to our store, we offer a free move-in truck, and we provide access to our partner Simple Moving Labor (SML) to handle all of your moving, storing, and logistics needs.
Our experienced store teammates can help you find the right size unit and choose the best moving option for you. Here’s what our Waverly Avenue customers have to say about the service they received at this store:
“Of everything about moving a very long distance, CubeSmart in Patchogue is the only thing I didn’t have to worry about. Their staff goes well beyond job duties to help customers and they are very courteous. If you’re moving and need storage, this is the place to go. I can’t recommend them highly enough, and the facility is pristine.” – Mover27NY
“Both Cube Smart employees (Jodi and nice guy – I don’t remember your name) I dealt with in early February 2016 were very helpful. They made suggestions and gave me contact info I may have needed for a mover. The facility is also very clean and convenient to get to from Sunrise Highway. I would definitely refer them.” – Ada99
Patchogue Apartments vs. Storage Cost Analysis
If it’s not boat storage you’re seeking, but rather just a little extra living room in your home, our Patchogue self-storage facility is an affordable solution to small space living.
Less than ten minutes from our Patchogue store, extra storage space in an apartment costs far more than renting a self-storage unit. At Village Green off Hewlett Avenue, a 1-bedroom apartment rental starts at $2,157 for 724 square feet, while a 2-bedroom starts at $2,475 for 964 square feet. For that one extra bedroom in an apartment in the same building, you’ll pay an additional $318 every month. If you are looking for an extra bedroom as a means of storage and not a for a roommate, you could save $133 a month by renting a 10×10 storage unit at our Waverly Avenue CubeSmart. For just $185 a month (as of 8/8/16), a 10×10 storage unit fits the contents of a standard 2-bedroom apartment, so you can keep your 1-bedroom Patchogue apartment, and conveniently store seasonal items, clothing, mementos, and more. No need to fork over the extra money each month for a bigger apartment.
Patchogue | Rental Price | Square Footage | Price/Square foot |
One Bedroom | $2,157* | 724 sqft | $2.98 |
Two Bedroom | $2,475* | 964 sqft | $2.57 |
10×10 Storage Unit | $185.40 | 100 sqft | $1.85 |

Your new neighborhood is busy with events and festivals to enjoy! For the past 15 years, the town has celebrated Alive After Five during four Thursdays of the summer. This free street fair hosts live music and entertainment, food trucks and drinks, craft and retail vendors, and a ton of activities for the kids.
If Alive After Five isn’t enough for your music-loving soul, check out the Great South Bay Music Festival in July.
